Royal Brewster House

The First Congregational Church of Buxton, also known locally as the Tory Hill Meetinghouse, is a historic church on ME 112 in Buxton, Maine. Built in 1822, it is an example of Federal period architecture, having had only modest alterations since its construction.It is also notable for its association with the local author Kate Douglas Wiggin, serving as her inspiration for The Old Peabody Pew, a play that is now regularly performed at the church.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The congregation is associated with the United Church of Christ; its current pastor is Allison Flaherty.

The Kate Douglas Wiggin House, also known as Quillcote, is a historic house on Salmon Falls Road in Hollis, Maine. Built in 1797, the house is significant as the home of the writer Kate Douglas Wiggin from 1905 until her death in 1923, and as a fine example of adaptive architectural change over time. One room of the house features wall murals attributed to Rufus Porter. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Salmon Falls (West) Historic District encompasses a cluster of well-preserved buildings built before 1840, and located on the Hollis, Maine side of the rural village of Salmon Falls. In addition to its architectural significance, the area is also noted for its association with the author Kate Douglas Wiggin, whose home, Quillcote, is in the district, as is the Salmon Falls Library, established by her efforts in 1911. Built in 1825, the house is a fine local example of Federal period architecture, but is most notable for an extensive series of well-preserved stenciled artwork on the walls of its hall and main parlor. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Elden's Store is a historic commercial building on Long Plains Road (Maine State Route 22) in the center of Buxton, Maine. Built in 1802, it is the oldest commercial building in the rural community, and is one of the few historic brick commercial buildings in western York County. The building, which is now owned by the local historical society, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Skelton Dam is an embankment dam on the Saco River between the towns of Buxton and Dayton in York County, Maine. It is located about 7 mi (11 km) northwest of Saco and Biddeford. The dam was completed in 1948 with the primary purpose of hydroelectric power generation. The largest fish lift in Maine was completed on the dam in 2001. The dam and facilities are owned by Brookfield Renewable.

The Buxton Powder House is a historic military storage magazine in Buxton, Maine. Built in 1813, this small brick building housed the community's military supplies during the War of 1812, and is one of three such structures to survive in the state. It is located in a field off Long Plains Road near the center of the town. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
