Port Isaac Lifeboat Station

The Golden Lion is a public house on Fore Street in the English fishing village of Port Isaac, Cornwall. Believed to date from at least the early 19th century, the building may have earlier origins (with claims of its being 18th- and 17th century). It is a Grade II listed building.The main ground floor contains a snug bar, a main bar and a balcony overlooking the harbour.The Bones Bar, separate from the main bar area, is located on the lower ground floor. In there, a section of glassed flooring shows an old passageway that was allegedly a storage area used by smugglers. A door from the bar exits to an area called The Gun Deck, where a gun from the SS Milly can be seen. The vessel was sunk by a German U-boat in 1918 during World War I.Private rooms, for rental, are on the third floor.The pub has featured as the "Crab & Lobster" for the television series Doc Martin and the "local" for the film The Fisherman's Friends. In August 2021, the pub's landlord, St Austell Brewery, was looking for a new licensee.

Fern Cottage is a Grade II listed building in the English village of Port Isaac, Cornwall. Situated on the south side of the harbour, its address is 4 Roscarrock Hill. It is recognisable as the exterior view of the home and surgery of Doctor Martin Ellingham in the ITV television series Doc Martin; interior shots were filmed inside a nearby barn.The cottage was placed on the list of historic buildings in 1987. Built in the mid-to-late 19th century, its materials are stone rubble with brick dressing. It has a slate roof.

Port Gaverne is a hamlet on the north coast of Cornwall, England, UK, about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) east of Port Isaac and part of St Endellion parish. Although it is a geographically discrete hamlet, some consider it as part of the larger village of Port Isaac located around the headland, upon which it relies for most services. Historically, Port Gaverne existed as a port for sand and slate from the local mine, and for the local fishing catch, particularly pilchards, and has little recorded history prior to the 19th century, when economic activity at the port was at its peak. In the 20th century these industries declined as railways supplanted transport by sea. The appearance of the hamlet has changed little in two centuries, with its stone and slate buildings recognised for their character and the rugged local coastline as a heritage coast. Nowadays the settlement relies almost entirely upon tourism. The parish has just over 1,000 residents, including a significant proportion of retired people, but the hamlet itself consists mostly of second homes and holiday lets. Along with Port Isaac it has become known as the filming location for ITV's Doc Martin television series.
