Thayer Lake (Antrim County)

Helena Township is a civil township of Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,001 at the 2010 census. Helena Township was organized in 1865 by a division of Milton Township. It was named for Helena M. Thayer.

Forest Home Township is a civil township of Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,720 at the 2010 census.

The Grass River is a 2.3-mile-long (3.7 km) river in Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is part of the Elk River Chain of Lakes Watershed that begins in northern Antrim County with Intermediate Lake, which is connected by the Intermediate River with Lake Bellaire. The Grass River flows from Lake Bellaire into Clam Lake, which in turn drains into Torch Lake via the short Clam River. Torch Lake itself is drained by the Torch River, which flows into Lake Skegemog, which opens into Elk Lake. Elk Lake flows into the east arm of Grand Traverse Bay at Elk Rapids. The Grass River Natural Area is a park of 1,492 acres (6.04 km2) of wetlands and wildlife habitat purchased since 1969 by the non-profit group Grass River Natural Area, Inc. There are 1.5 miles (2.4 km) of boardwalk trails, bridges, and observation platforms that provide easy access to river, stream, lake and wetlands. There are 7.5 miles (12.1 km) total of hiking trails, including the 2.2 miles (3.5 km) Grass River Natural Area Rail-Trail. This rail trail uses converted roadbed built in the late 1800s by the Chicago and West Michigan Railroad, and operated until the 1980s by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway.

Torch Lake is a lake in the Northern Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. At 19 miles (31 km) long, is Michigan's longest inland lake, and at approximately 29.3 mi2 (76 km2), it is Michigan's second largest inland lake, after Houghton Lake. It has a maximum depth of 310 feet (94 m) and an average depth of 111 feet (34 m), making it Michigan's deepest inland lake, as well as the state's largest by volume.Surrounding it are several townships including Torch Lake, Central Lake, Forest Home, Helena, and Milton in Antrim County, and Clearwater Township of neighboring Kalkaska County. Several villages and hamlets lie along its shore, including Alden, Eastport, Clam River, Torch Lake, and Torch River. It is a popular lake for fishing, featuring lake trout, rock bass, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, muskellunge, pike, ciscoes, brown trout, steelhead, rainbow trout, atlantic salmon and whitefish.

The M-88–Intermediate River Bridge is a bridge located on M-88 over the Intermediate River in Bellaire, Michigan, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It is a noteworthy product of Depression-era relief work.

The Antrim County Courthouse is a government building located on South Cayuga Street in Bellaire, Michigan (U.S.). It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1974 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It was designed in 1879, but construction did not begin until 1904. As of 2014, it houses the Antrim County courts and prosecuting attorney.

The Henry Richardi House is located at 402 North Bridge Street in Bellaire, Michigan. It was originally built for Henry Richardi, a late 19th century lumber baron and industrialist, reportedly in an attempt to woo a young woman for a wife. It currently operates as the "Grand Victorian Bed and Breakfast." It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The historic Antrim County Courthouse is located in Bellaire. The Antrim Review, the county's newspaper of record, is headquartered in Bellaire.

The Holtz Site, designated 20AN26 is an archaeological site located near Bellaire, Michigan. It is located on a former island in the Intermediate River near Bellaire, Michigan. The site is surrounded by low, swampy areas.

Antrim County Airport (IATA: ACB, ICAO: KACB, FAA LID: ACB) is a county-owned public-use airport located one mile (2 km) northeast of the central business district of Bellaire, a village in Antrim County, Michigan, United States. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.

Kearney Township is a civil township of Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,765 at the 2010 census. A portion of the village of Bellaire is located within the township.

Custer Township is a civil township of Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,136 at the 2010 census.
