Pilot is an unincorporated community in southern Franklin County, North Carolina, United States.It is located at the intersection of N.C. Highway 39 and Old U.S. Highway 64 (SR 1770), south of Bunn at an elevation of 354 feet (108 m).

Hopkins is an unincorporated community in eastern Wake County, North Carolina, United States. The center of the community lies at the crossroads of Hopkins Chapel Road and Fowler Road, near North Carolina Highway 96, about three miles north of the town of Zebulon.

New Hope is an unincorporated community in southern Franklin County, North Carolina, United States.It is located west-northwest of Bunn, at an elevation of 364 feet (111 m). The primary cross roads where the community is located are N.C. Highway 98, Clifton Pond Road (SR 1103) and Bethlehem Church Road (SR 1103).

Little River Township (also designated Township 9) is one of twenty townships within Wake County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, Little River Township had a population of 12,528, a 14.0% increase over 2000. Little River Township, occupying 53.8 square miles (139.3 km2) in eastern Wake County, includes the entire town of Zebulon.

Wakefield is a former unincorporated community and current area within the Zebulon, North Carolina, United States town limits in extreme eastern Wake County. It is centered on Pearces Road (SR 1001) between Pippin Road (SR 2337) and Arendell Avenue (NC 96), northeast of the center of Zebulon. It was annexed by Zebulon in 1997.

The Green-Hartsfield House, also known as the Hartsfield House, is a historic home located near Rolesville, Wake County, North Carolina, a satellite town northeast of the state capital Raleigh. Built in 1805, the house is an example of Late Georgian / Early Federal style architecture. It is a two-story, three-bay, single pile, frame dwelling sheathed in weatherboard, with a two-story gable-roofed rear ell. A one-story rear shed addition was added in the 1940s. The house was restored between 1985 and 1987. Also on the property is a contributing frame barn.In December 1989, the Green-Hartsfield House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Bennett Bunn Plantation is a historic farm near Zebulon, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. The plantation, located beside US 264 in eastern Wake County, consists of a two-story house, built in 1833, barns, and 162 acres (66 ha) of farmland and forests. The property was owned by generations of the Bunn family until 2000 when Grace Hutchins, great-granddaughter of Bennet Bunn, sold the property for $1.9 million (~$3.08 million in 2022). The home is still used as a private residence and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in February 1986.Bennett Bunn inherited the land from his father in the 1820s. He lived in a log cabin on the property until he had raised enough money to construct the house. With the use of 16 enslaved people, Bunn grew wheat and corn, and raised livestock. Each generation left the property to the youngest daughter. After Hutchins inherited the land, she renovated the house by installing electricity and plumbing, as well as adding a kitchen, sunroom, and bathrooms.The Bennett Bunn house is an example of Federal architecture, a popular style for homes during the Antebellum period of the South. The driveway is lined with cedar trees that were planted in the 1920s by Alac and Avon Bunn.During the Civil War, a robber threw a torch through a front window of the house. The mark left by the torch hitting the floor is still visible. A mantel clock that was given to the Bunns by a Union soldier is displayed in the house. The soldier had looted the clock from another location and was tired of carrying it. A memorial to two enslaved people who died in the 1860s, Simon Bunn and Joni Piedelle, is written on one of the walls. Five enslaved people who worked at the Bunn plantation are buried in a small cemetery on the property.

East Wake Academy (EWA) is a public charter school located in Zebulon, North Carolina, United States. Founded in 1998, the school is made up of three separate academies to cover grades K–12, with admission to the academies being decided via lottery system. The creation of the school was conceived in October 1997 by a group of locals led by Susan King, with the intention to bring greater school choice to the area. After a rocky first school year characterized by the student body being spread out across two buildings in Knightdale and Wendell, the school was centralized into its current location in Zebulon in 1999 under Headmaster Michelle Taylor, and school spirit improved. Since 2012, two employees have been fired for criminal sexual activity.

The Wakelon School is a historic school building located in Zebulon, Wake County, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. Wakelon was designed by architect Charles E. Hartge and was built in 1908. It served as an elementary school until the student population became too large for the facility. GlaxoSmithKline purchased Wakelon School from the Town of Zebulon in 1986 and used the building for office space. In March 2007 voters approved to repurchase Wakelon to be used as the new town hall. Renovations began in early 2008.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Zebulon ( ZEB-yoo-luhn) is the easternmost town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 6,903 at the 2020 census. Zebulon is part of the Research Triangle metropolitan region. Five County Stadium, home to the Carolina Mudcats minor league baseball team, is located in the town. In May 2022, Zebulon was ranked North Carolina's second fastest growing town, only behind neighboring Wendell.

The Heartsfield–Perry Farm is a historic home and farm located at Rolesville, Wake County, North Carolina, a satellite town of the state capital Raleigh. The original one-room house was built in the 1790s, with a Greek Revival style update made about 1840. It is a two-story house with two-story rear ell and one-story rear shed addition. It features a double-tier Greek-Revival-style—porch and low hipped roof. The interior of the house retains some Federal style design elements. Also on the property are the contributing detached kitchen (c. 1840), smokehouse / woodshed (c. 1840), privy (c. 1900), doctor's office (c. 1840), mule barn (c. 1805), pack house (c. 1940), horse barn (c. 1940), feed barn (c. 1840), two tobacco barns (c. 1930, c. 1950), the family cemetery, and the agricultural landscape.In January 2003, the Heartsfield–Perry Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The George and Neva Barbee House, also known as the Dr. G. S. Barbee House, is a historic home located at Zebulon, Wake County, North Carolina, a town near Raleigh, NC. Constructed in 1914, the two-story, brick American Foursquare house was designed in the American Craftsman / Bungalow style. It features a hipped roof with overhanging eaves, a porte cochere, a sheltered wraparound porch, and a nearly solid brick porch balustrade.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
