Aschbergschanze

The Western Ore Mountains (German: Westerzgebirge) is a natural region that forms the westernmost part of the Ore Mountains in the German state of Saxony. It is also part of the major landscape unit known as the Saxon Highlands and Uplands. It extends eastwards to include the valley of the Schwarzwasser, and, below its mouth, that of the Zwickauer Mulde, and incorporates the western parts of the former major units known as the Lower and Upper Western Ore Mountains (Unteres und Oberes Westerzgebirge), no. 423, as well as the Southern Slopes of the Ore Mountains (Südabdachung des Erzgebirges), no. 420. In the current classification system of natural regions, the Western Ore Mountains only covers the western part of the region that bore the same name in the preceding system, whilst the eastern part of that region is now part of the Central Ore Mountains. The higher regions of the Western Ore Mountains are part of the Ore Mountains/Vogtland Nature Park.

Steindöbra is a river in Saxony, Germany. Above from its junction with Steinbach, it also takes the name of Mühlbach. It is a right tributary of the Brunndöbra, which it joins in Klingenthal. Its spring is located roughly 850 m above sea level near the top of Mühlleiten pass in the western Ore Mountains. It flows south, traversing Sachsenberg-Georgenthal, a district of Klingenthal. After approximately three kilometers, it unites with Brunndöbra and hence continues as Döbra, which in turn unites with the Zwota, its waters thus flowing via Ohře and Elbe into the North Sea. Before flowing into Brunndöbra, a large portion of its course runs side by side with the track of the former meter-gauge light rail.

Klingenthal is a town in the Vogtland region, in Saxony, south-eastern Germany. It is situated directly on the border with the Czech Republic opposite the Czech town of Kraslice, 29 km southeast of Plauen, and 33 km northwest of Karlovy Vary. It is part of the Musikwinkel, a historical center of musical instrument manufacturing. The Aschberg ("cinder mountain") towers above the town at 936 m. The extremely elongated town, 10.5 km from end to end, is surrounded by numerous woods of firs. The town is bisected by the Döbra and Zwota rivers. These two rivers unite at the Czech-German border to form the Svatava river, which in turn flows into the Ohře river at Sokolov.

The Aschberg (Czech: Kamenáč; German: Aschberg) is a mountain on the border of Germany (Saxony) and the Czech Republic. It is part of the Ore Mountains. The summit lies on the Czech side, in the municipality of Bublava.

Kiel is a mountain of Saxony, southeastern Germany.

Bublava (German: Schwaderbach) is a municipality and village in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.

The Vogtland Arena is a winter sports center, located in the German town of Klingenthal (Saxony), on the northern slope of the Schwarzberg mountain in Vogtland, from which the complex takes its name. It opened in 2006. It includes a large ski jumping hill with a construction point of K125 and a size of HS 140 and is one of the most modern architecture among World Cup hills.

The Zum Friedefürsten Church (German: Rundkirche zum Friedefürsten) is a baroque Lutheran round church in Klingenthal, Saxony, south-eastern Germany. It has an octagonal floorplan and is the largest of its kind in Saxony. The church is the most important historical monument in Klingenthal and dominates the town centre. The church was officially finished in 1737.

The Schneckenstein is 23-metre-high rock formation near the village of the same name in Saxony, southeastern Germany. Its summit is 883 metres above sea level.

The Brunndöbra is a river of Saxony, Germany. It is a tributary of the river Zwota. It flows through the town Klingenthal.

Hraničná (German: Markhausen) is a hamlet and administrative part of Kraslice in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic.

Muldenhammer is a municipality in the Vogtlandkreis district, in Saxony, Germany. It was formed by the merger of the previously independent municipalities Hammerbrücke, Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz and Tannenbergsthal, on 1 October 2009. It consists of the Ortsteile (divisions) Gottesberg, Hammerbrücke, Jägersgrün, Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, Schneckenstein and Tannenbergsthal.
