St. Augustine Academy is a private, independently operated Roman Catholic school situated in Ventura, California. It is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles The school's patron Saint is Augustine of Hippo. The school offers a classical liberal arts curriculum. The liberal arts are divided into the trivium consisting of grammar, logic and rhetoric, and the quadrivium consisting of arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. The school is accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, WASC, as well as the Western Catholic Educational Association, WCEA.

The Saticoy Southern Pacific Railroad Depot in Saticoy, California was built in 1887.The depot was designated Ventura County Historic Landmark no. 176 in May 2016. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. Built by the Southern Pacific Railroad along the line that was being constructed from Los Angeles to Ventura in 1887. The original town of Saticoy was laid out near the new depot. Its name comes from the Chumash village of Sa’aqtik’oy.

Saticoy ( ; Chumash: Sa'aqtik'oy) is an unincorporated community in Ventura County, California, United States. The settlement was laid out in 1887 along the railroad line that was being built from Los Angeles through the Santa Clara River Valley to the town of San Buenaventura. Although the town was 10 miles (16 km) distant at that time, the City of Ventura grew to a point where the community is now just outside the city limits. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined Saticoy as a census-designated place (CDP).The commercial district known as Old Town Saticoy is surrounded by a residential neighborhood with a population of just over one thousand. Two historic buildings attest to the important role Saticoy once held in the local agricultural economy: Walnut Growers Association Warehouse, and Saticoy (Lima) Bean Warehouse. The historic setting, stable residential population, railroad, and access to major highways make this community unique in Ventura County.South towards the Santa Clara River is a sizable industrial area located on both sides of Los Angeles Avenue. The historic building that formerly housed the Farmers & Merchants Bank of Santa Paula, Saticoy Branch, stands at a quiet intersection that used to be at the center of a vibrant community.

KOXR (910 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Oxnard, California. It broadcasts a traditional ranchera music format featuring mariachi groups from Mexico. It is owned by Radio Lazer and calls itself "La Mexicana 102.1 y 910 AM." By day, KOXR broadcasts at 5,000 watts. But to avoid interference to other stations on 910 AM, it reduces power at night to 1,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna at all times. The transmitter is off Southern Pacific Milling Road in Santa Paula, near the Santa Clara River. KOXR is also heard on 250 watt FM translator K271CY at 102.1 MHz in Oxnard.

Rancho Santa Clara del Norte was a 13,989-acre (56.61 km2) Mexican land grant on the Oxnard Plain in present-day Ventura County, California. It was granted in 1837 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to Juan María Sánchez.The grant extended along the south bank of the Santa Clara River, east of present-day Oxnard and encompasses El Rio.

The Saticoy Oil Field is an oil and gas field in Ventura County, California, in the United States. The field is a long narrow band paralleling the Santa Clara River near the town of Saticoy. Discovered in 1955, it is one of the smaller but productive fields found in the region after most of the large fields had already been operational for decades. At the beginning of 2009 it still contained an estimated 387,000 barrels (61,500 m3) of recoverable oil out of its original 23.5 million, and had 15 wells remaining in operation. Vintage Production, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum, was the primary operator on the field as of 2009.

Temple Beth Torah is a Reform Jewish synagogue in Ventura, California. It was founded in 1938 as the Ventura County Jewish Council.

Rio Mesa High School (RMHS) is a high school in Ventura County, California. Located northeast of Oxnard, the school is surrounded by strawberry fields and other crops growing on the Oxnard Plain. The school is part of the Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD) and serves a portion of northeast Oxnard (including the neighborhood of RiverPark) and western Camarillo as well as the unincorporated communities of El Rio, Strickland, and Nyeland Acres. The name "Rio Mesa", conceived by OUHSD board member Bob Matthews at the time of the school's founding in 1965, is derived from the two original elementary school districts that fed the school — Rio and Mesa Union; since then, it has also regularly received students from the Pleasant Valley and Oxnard Elementary districts. Rio Mesa High School offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

The George Washington Faulkner House, known also as Faulkner House and as Faulkner Farm, in Santa Paula, California, was built in 1894. The Queen Anne style house was a work of architect/builders Herman Anlauf and Franklin P. Ward. In 1968, the house was the first designated landmark by the county of Ventura. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. The listing included two additional contributing buildings, an 1886 barn and an outhouse, as well as non-contributing buildings, on 27.2 acres (11.0 ha).It was deemed significant "as the most outstanding example of Queen Anne architecture in the Santa Clara Valley between Santa Paula and Ventura", and also "for its association with pioneer farmer George Washington Faulkner and the contributions he made to the successful development of agriculture in Ventura County.": 5 

Rancho Santa Paula y Saticoy was a 17,773-acre (71.92 km2) Mexican land grant in the Santa Clara River Valley, in present-day Ventura County, California, and granted in 1843 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Manuel Jimeno Casarin. The rancho lands include the modern communities of Saticoy and Santa Paula along the Santa Clara River.
