Arroyo Verde Park is a park located in a dried-up river valley in Ventura, California. The entry gate is located at the intersection between Ventura's Foothill and Day Roads. The park is 132 acres in area., The park is open from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Arroyo Verde Park is a popular spot for barbecues and children's birthday parties, particularly in the summer. Several hiking trails run near and outside the park, including a notoriously steep path known as "The Wall". However, the most notable trail in the park is the 3.5-mile-long Arroyo Verde Park Trail. During the Thomas Fire of 2017–2018, multiple structures, including the park's nature center and a playground were destroyed. A new playground, dubbed the "inclusive play area", was later built.

El Camino High School at Ventura College (ECHS) is a public independent study and middle college high school in Ventura, California. The school is part of the Ventura Unified School District (VUSD) and is located on the campus of Ventura College.

Ventura, officially named San Buenaventura (Spanish for "Saint Bonaventure"), is a city in and the county seat of Ventura County, California, United States. It is a coastal city located northwest of Los Angeles. The population was 110,763 at the 2020 census. Ventura is a popular tourist destination, owing to its historic landmarks, beaches, and resorts. Ventura has been inhabited by different peoples, including the Chumash Native Americans, for at least 10,000 years. With the arrival of Spanish missionaries in 1782, Mission San Buenaventura was established by Junípero Serra, giving the city its name. Following the Mexican secularization of the Californian missions, San Buenaventura was granted by Governor Pío Pico to Don José de Arnaz as Rancho Ex-Mission San Buenaventura and a small community arose. Following the American Conquest of California, San Buenaventura eventually incorporated as a city in 1866. The 1920s brought a major oil boom, which along with the post–World War II economic expansion, significantly developed and expanded Ventura.

St. Augustine Academy is a private, independently operated Roman Catholic school situated in Ventura, California. It is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles The school's patron Saint is Augustine of Hippo. The school offers a classical liberal arts curriculum. The liberal arts are divided into the trivium consisting of grammar, logic and rhetoric, and the quadrivium consisting of arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. The school is accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, WASC, as well as the Western Catholic Educational Association, WCEA.

Ventura–East station (formerly Montalvo) is a Metrolink passenger train station in the Montalvo neighborhood of Ventura, California. Passengers board here for Metrolink's Ventura County Line going towards Los Angeles Union Station. The platform is just off the main coast route on the Santa Paula Branch Line which is owned by the Ventura County Transportation Commission.Six Metrolink Ventura County Line trains (three in each direction) serve the station each weekday, running during peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Two round trips operate on weekends.The station opened for regular service on November 11, 2002; a grand opening ceremony took place on November 8. Prior to that, Metrolink trains that ran from Los Angeles to Oxnard were stored overnight at this site with no passenger boardings. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner remains on the Coast line towards downtown Ventura and Santa Barbara, and does not switch over to serve this station. Growth in commuters traveling towards Los Angeles is expected to favor this location over the (downtown) Ventura station used by the Pacific Surfliner. Overnight storage of trains in downtown would also be expensive if that station was used.On May 9, 2011, Metrolink renamed the station from Montalvo to Ventura–East due to the lack of name recognition. Montalvo had been the name of the junction at this location for over a hundred years and subsequently the community, later annexed by the city of Ventura, that grew adjacent to the junction.

Dudley House in Ventura, California is a historic house museum built in 1891 in a Late Victorian-style. Designed and built by local architect and builder Selwyn Shaw, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. At the time of the NRHP listing, the farmhouse was occupied by the fifth generation of the Dudley family and the property included nine out of an original 200 acres (81 ha). The property was deemed significant for its architecture and for its association with this farming family; it was then the last surviving family farm in the city of Ventura.Owned by the city of Ventura, the house is managed by San Buenaventura Heritage, Inc. which opens the house for tours on a limited basis.

Saticoy ( ; Chumash: Sa'aqtik'oy) is an unincorporated community in Ventura County, California, United States. The settlement was laid out in 1887 along the railroad line that was being built from Los Angeles through the Santa Clara River Valley to the town of San Buenaventura. Although the town was 10 miles (16 km) distant at that time, the City of Ventura grew to a point where the community is now just outside the city limits. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined Saticoy as a census-designated place (CDP).The commercial district known as Old Town Saticoy is surrounded by a residential neighborhood with a population of just over one thousand. Two historic buildings attest to the important role Saticoy once held in the local agricultural economy: Walnut Growers Association Warehouse, and Saticoy (Lima) Bean Warehouse. The historic setting, stable residential population, railroad, and access to major highways make this community unique in Ventura County.South towards the Santa Clara River is a sizable industrial area located on both sides of Los Angeles Avenue. The historic building that formerly housed the Farmers & Merchants Bank of Santa Paula, Saticoy Branch, stands at a quiet intersection that used to be at the center of a vibrant community.
