KBYU-FM (89.1 MHz) is a classical music radio station run by Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. It is known on-air as Classical 89. It is a production of BYU Radio. It transmits at an effective radiated power of 32 kW. Its transmitting tower is located on a peak of the Oquirrh Mountains northwest of the university campus, and southwest of Salt Lake City. The station previously broadcast at a frequency of 88.9 MHz (during which time its nickname was Classical 88). The frequency was shifted in 1988 by directive of the FCC, to alleviate interference for nearby frequencies used for aerial navigation, and to allow for a new full-power station to be built on 99.5 in the Salt Lake market. Classical 89 also has the following translators: 89.5 FM K208BZ Spanish Fork, 106.9 FM K295BW Nephi, 96.1 FM K241BV Milford, 100.3 FM K262BM Cedar City, 100.7 FM K264BM Ivins.

The canyon empties into the Salt Lake Valley from its origin in the Oquirrh Mountains. The canyon is oriented primarily from southwest to northeast, with the middle third of the canyon descending from west to east. Harkers Canyon and surrounding land are owned and managed by the Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation and has been mined for copper.

KTMW (channel 20) is a television station in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, broadcasting the Spanish-language Telemundo network to the state of Utah. Owned and operated by NBCUniversal's Telemundo Station Group, the station maintains studios are located on South Redwood Road in the northwestern section of Salt Lake City, and its transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. KTMW's programming is relayed on three low-power digital translators: Class A stations KULX-CD (UHF channel 14) in Ogden and KEJT-CD (UHF channel 21) in Salt Lake City, and KULU-LD (UHF channel 16) in Park City.

KAAZ-FM (106.7 MHz, "Rock 106.7") is a mainstream rock formatted radio station broadcasting to the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The station's city of license is Spanish Fork, Utah. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. The station's studios are located in West Valley City and its transmitter site is located southwest of the city on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains.

KKLV (107.5 FM, "K-Love") is an American Contemporary Christian music formatted radio station broadcasting to the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The station is licensed to serve the community of Kaysville, Utah, and is owned by the Educational Media Foundation. It was previously owned and operated by Wasatch Radio, LLC as trustee which Citadel Broadcasting divested, four months after picking up KHTB in the Salt Lake City cluster. While previously transmitting from Lake Mountain, the station now transmits from Farnsworth Peak, west of Salt Lake City.

KBZN (97.9 FM, "Now 97.9") is a commercial radio station licensed to Ogden, Utah and serving the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The station airs a hot adult contemporary radio format and is owned by Capital Broadcasting.The station's studios and offices are located at the 257 Tower building in downtown Salt Lake City, along with sister station KLO-FM. KBZN's transmitter site is located southwest of the city on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains. The station is also heard on a repeater station, 97.9 KBZN-FM1 in Park City and on translator station 103.1 K276DR in Montpelier, Idaho.

The Pleasant Green Cemetery is located in the Oquirrh Mountains above Magna, Utah. Approximately 1,400 persons are buried in the cemetery. Many religious leaders and settlers of the western side of the Salt Lake Valley, particularly many leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) lie in the cemetery. It encompasses a little more than 10 acres (0.040 km2). The Pleasant Green Cemetery was established because Daniel Jacob's grandmother died in 1883 and the only large cemetery at the time in the valley was the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Daniel and his friends got together and founded the Pleasant Green Cemetery and Sarah Haines was the first person buried in the cemetery.

KSFI (100.3 FM) is a radio station in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. KSFI maintains studio facilities located at the KSL Broadcast House building in Salt Lake City's Triad Center (which also house KRSP-FM and the KSL-AM-FM-TV partners), and its transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City.

KSVN-CD (channel 25) is a low-power television station licensed to Ogden, Utah, United States, serving Salt Lake City as an affiliate of Estrella TV. Founded on March 28, 1995, the station is currently owned by Bridge Media Networks. Unlike many low-powered stations, it is seen on channel 98 through Comcast cable in the Salt Lake City area in addition to its low powered signal.

KUUU (92.5 FM, "92.5 The Beat") is a radio station licensed to South Jordan, Utah, serving the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. Owned by Broadway Media, the station primarily broadcasts a Rhythmic adult contemporary format during the daytime hours, but transitions to a rhythmic contemporary-based playlist during the evening and overnight hours. The station's studios are located in Downtown Salt Lake City and its transmitter site is located southwest of the city on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains. KUUU broadcasts in HD Radio, carrying simulcasts of sister stations KYMV and KEGA on its HD2 and HD3 subchannels. In turn, KUUU is simulcast on the HD3 subchannel of sister station KUDD.

KUER-FM (90.1 MHz) is a public radio station in Salt Lake City, Utah. Owned by the University of Utah, its studios are located in the Eccles Broadcast Center on the University of Utah campus, while its transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak, after relocating from Mount Vision in the Oquirrh Mountains in 2011. The station primarily carries National Public Radio programming and other syndicated content distributed by Public Radio International and American Public Media. It is also the producer of RadioWest, a local news discussion program focusing on Utah and the Western United States. KUER broadcasts in HD Radio; its second subchannel carries the BBC World Service, while its third channel carries classical music from American Public Media's Classical 24 service.
