Barnhart is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. Barnhart is also a suburb of St. Louis.

Mastodon State Historic Site is a publicly owned, 431-acre (174 ha) archaeological and paleontological site with recreational features in Imperial, Missouri, maintained by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, preserving the Kimmswick Bone Bed. Bones of mastodons and other now-extinct animals were first found here in the early 19th century. The area gained fame as one of the most extensive Pleistocene ice age deposits in the country and attracted scientific interest worldwide. The site was purchased by the state in 1976 following an effort to preserve it from destruction with the construction of Interstate 55. Archaeological history was made at the site in 1979 when scientists excavated a stone spear point made by hunters of the Clovis culture (14,000–10,000 years ago) in direct association with mastodon bones. This was the first solid evidence of the coexistence of people and these giant prehistoric beasts. The Kimmswick Bone Bed was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Stonebrook is a historic home located at Antonia, Jefferson County, Missouri. It was built in 1958–1959, and is a two-section, split-level frame house in the Modern Movement style. It sits on a concrete foundation and is sheathed in vertical wooden siding with battens and horizontal weatherboard. The Stonebrook property is a documented pre-glacial Missouri wildflower preserve.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Seckman High School is a public high school within the Fox C-6 School District, located in Imperial, Missouri. The school was founded in 1997 in order to meet the needs of the growing district. Seckman High School shares a campus with both Seckman Elementary and Seckman Middle School. Seckman is the sister and rival school of Fox High School in nearby Arnold.

Sulphur Springs is an unincorporated community in eastern Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. It is located near Barnhart, bordering the banks of Glaize Creek and the Mississippi River. Sulphur Springs was platted in 1860, and named for a sulphur spring near the original town site. A post office was established at Sulphur Springs in 1837, and remained in operation until 1990.On August 5, 1922, at Sulphur Springs, two trains collided on the Iron Mountain Railroad tracks, resulting in 34 people killed and 150 injured in the largest train accident in Missouri history.

It was built in 1874-1875 by the Keystone Bridge Company; the bridge was dismantled and re-erected at its present site in 1930.
