Nooitgedacht is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 8 km southeast of Assen. The statistical area "Nooitgedacht", which can also include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 330.

Cour du Nord was a restaurant located in Nooitgedacht, Drenthe, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 2009 and 2010.The restaurant closed for public in 2011.Head chefs of Cour du Nord in the time of the Michelin star were Pieter de Ronde (2009) and Marco Philips (2010).Cour du Nord was one of the five restaurants in the luxury holiday resort Hof van Saksen. It was the first Dutch restaurant in a holiday resort that was awarded a Michelin star.Originally, the restaurant was located in the centre of the resort and had a seating capacity of 70. In 2010, it moved to a building close to the entrance to attract more outside visitors. With the move, the restaurant hoped to be able to chase a second star. Instead of getting a second star, they lost their star.Chef Robert Kranenborg was culinary advisor of Hof van saksen and responsible for the selection of the team that would build Cour du Nord. As head chef he selected a member of his own kitchen crew at Corona, Pieter de Ronde.

The Molen van Rolde is a smock mill in Rolde, Drenthe, the Netherlands. The mill was built in 1873 and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 32698.

The village was first mentioned between 1298 and 1304 as "in villa Ghestre, apud Ghesteren". The etymology is unclear.The hunebed (dolmen) D11 is a small incomplete dolmen. It has been fenced off because there are sheep in the heath. It used to have four capstones, but only two have remained. There are also 44 burial mounds around the village.Gasteren was home to 155 people in 1840.

National Park Drentsche Aa is a national park of the Netherlands located in the province of Drenthe on the west side of the Hondsrug. It consists of the cultural landscape surrounding the valley of the small river the Drentsche Aa. The landscape is currently nearly the same as it was in the mid 19th century, as the several agricultural landscape reforms of the 20th century were not implemented in this area. Because of this, many hedges, heathlands and traditionally managed fields ('essen' in Dutch) were spared from transformation. The national park is part of the (three times) larger national landscape Drentsche Aa.

Oudemolen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo. Historically, the hamlet of Oude Molen was almost solely owned by the Linthorst Homan family, who have always held close ties with the towns population. The Linthorst Homan family rebuilt the windmill in the 19th century. The village was first mentioned in 1498 as "de molner ter Oldenmolen", and means old wind mill. Oudemolen was home to 24 people in 1840.
