University of Vermont Medical Center

Converse Hall, built in 1895, is the oldest building on the campus of the University of Vermont (UVM) in Burlington that has been continuously used as a residential dormitory. A rare example in the state of Chateauesque architecture, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The Chittenden-3-4 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan was developed & passed in 2012 following the 2010 Census. The rest of Burlington is represented by the Chittenden-3-1, Chittenden-3-2, Chittenden-3-3, Chittenden-3-5 and Chittenden-3-6 districts. At the time of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there were a total of 150 Representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Chittenden-3-4 District had a population of 8,792 in that same census, 8.3% above the state average.

The Robert Larner College of Medicine is the medical school of the University of Vermont, a public research university in Burlington, Vermont. Established in 1822, it is the nation's seventh oldest medical school. The primary teaching hospital for the Larner College of Medicine is the UVM Medical Center in Burlington. The Larner College of Medicine offers both MD and PhD degrees, as well as a Certificate in Integrative Healthcare through the shared program with the University of Vermont College of Nursing and Health Sciences. In 2022, there were 479 medical students, 329 graduate students, and 42 post-doctoral students enrolled. The entering class of 2020 contains 120 students.The school's medical curriculum is known as the "Vermont Integrated Curriculum". It has both traditional, subject-based and more contemporary, organ/system-based components. The first 18 months of the curriculum are devoted to basic and clinical science; the remainder of the four-year program largely consists of clinical clerkships.

Trinity College of Vermont was a Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont between September 1925 (1925-09) and 2000 (2000). Trinity was founded by the Sisters of Mercy of Vermont in September 1925 as New England's second Catholic women's college. The college was opened to provide an education to women, who at the time were an underserved population in the state of Vermont. The earliest students were taught in the areas of English, French, religion, mathematics, business skills, and the classics. Trinity College of Vermont was a pioneer in education and community service and promoted a mission of social justice.It was closed in 2000 due to financial constraints, after which the University of Vermont purchased its campus. By the time of its closing, 5,000 students had been educated at Trinity. After the college's closing, Trinity's graduate-level programs moved to the Vermont Center at Southern New Hampshire University in Colchester, where they continued to be directed by former Trinity administrators. Business classes were moved to the newly formed Mercy Connections in Burlington, where the Women's Small Business Program continues to offer entrepreneurial classes and support to women today.

The University of Vermont (UVM), officially the University of Vermont and State Agricultural College, is a public land-grant research university in Burlington, Vermont. Founded in 1791, it is among the oldest universities in the United States as the fifth institution of higher learning established in the New England region of the United States. It is listed as one of the original eight "Public Ivy" institutions in the United States and is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".The largest hospital complex in Vermont, the University of Vermont Medical Center, has its primary facility on the UVM campus and is affiliated with the Robert Larner College of Medicine. One alumnus, Jody Williams, was awarded a Nobel Prize.

The Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources (RSENR) (established in 2003) is the University of Vermont's natural resources college. The University of Vermont recognized the importance of providing educational opportunities in this field of study, initiating forestry courses in 1888. The first school, originally called The School of Natural Resources was established in 1973. The main home of the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, the George D. Aiken Center opened in 1982. The building's name honors Vermont's distinguished late senator and governor. RSENR is home to a natural resources and field study based curriculum, has its own core courses and building. There are several majors including environmental sciences, environmental studies, forestry, natural resources, recreation management and wildlife biology.The Rubenstein School campus includes members of the UVM Environmental Program, the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics, the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory, and the US Forest Service Northern Research Station.In 2012, the Aiken building housing the school was completely reconstructed as a green renovated facility and named the Aiken Center with a U.S. Green Building Council LEED certification of platinum, and has the highest certification score in the entire state of Vermont. One of the other facilities belonging to the school is the Rubenstein Ecosystem Research Lab at the Burlington waterfront.

The Dudley H. Davis Center (also known as the Davis Center) at the University of Vermont was the first student center in the United States to receive a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification. The building is a four-story structure with a floor area between 186,000 and 202,954 ft2.Upon its completion in 2007, the Davis Center replaced the Billings Memorial Library as the university's main student center.

The Fleming Museum of Art is a museum of art and anthropology at the University of Vermont in Burlington. The museum's collection includes some 25,000 objects from a wide variety of eras and places. Until 2014, the museum was known as the Robert Hull Fleming Museum.According to the Vermont Encyclopedia, the museum is a cultural center for the community and "attracts a diverse audience from UVM, area colleges, and the general public." The current director of the museum is Janie Cohen.

The Billings Memorial Library is located on the campus of the University of Vermont in Burlington. Built in 1883, it was designed by American architect Henry Hobson Richardson to resemble the Winn Library in Woburn, Massachusetts, United States.

Ira Allen Chapel is a building on the campus of the University of Vermont (UVM), which is located on the northeast corner of the "University Green" in Burlington, Vermont (on the corner of Colchester Avenue and University Place). The building was constructed during 1925–26, and dedicated on January 14, 1927. It was added to National Register of Historic Places as part of University Green Historic District on April 14, 1975.

The Old Mill Building (historically known as the Main College Building) is the oldest campus building of the University of Vermont (UVM) and is located along the central eastern side of the "University Green" in Burlington, Vermont.

Morrill Hall is a campus building of the University of Vermont (UVM), which is located on the southeast corner of the "University Green" in Burlington, Vermont (on the corner of Main Street and University Place). The building was named after U.S. Senator, Justin Smith Morrill who authored the Morrill Land-Grant Acts of 1862 and 1890, which created the American Land-Grant universities and colleges. Senator Morrill also served as a trustee of the university from 1865 until 1898. The building was constructed during 1906–07 to serve as the home of the UVM Agriculture Department and the Agricultural Experiment Station. It was added to National Register of Historic Places as part of University Green Historic District on April 14, 1975. As of 2015, the building continues to house the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the UVM Agricultural Extension Service.
