Moselle, Missouri

The Bourbeuse River (French for 'muddy') is a river located in east-central Missouri, in the Ozarks region, and is one of two major tributaries of the Meramec River, the other being the Big River. The Bourbeuse flows to the northeast from its source (37°58′42″N 91°43′03″W) near the locale of Dillon just northeast of Rolla in Phelps County, through Maries, Gasconade, Crawford, and Franklin counties, where it discharges into the Meramec River near Moselle (38°23′57″N 90°53′21″W). The elevation of the river at its source is approximately 1,140 feet (350 m) above sea level and at its mouth about 463 feet (141 m). The total length of the river is 154 miles (248 km), while the airline distance between source and mouth is 53 miles (85 km). The watershed area is 842.9 square miles (2,183 km2). Tributaries of the Bourbeuse River include Boone Creek, Brush Creek, Dry Fork, Little Bourbeuse River, Red Oak Creek, Spring Creek and Voss Creek. The USGS stream gauge in Union, near the mouth of the river, measures an average flow of 692 cubic feet (19.6 m3) per second.

Moselle Iron Furnace Stack is a historic iron furnace stack located near Moselle, Franklin County, Missouri. It was built in 1848-1849 by the Moselle Iron Furnace (1850-1854), and later operated as the Furnace of the Franklin Iron Mining Co. (1855-1859), and Moselle Iron Company (1874-1875). It is 31 feet high and constructed of cut stone blocks. The furnace was closed in early June 1875.: 3–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

Birch Creek is a stream in Franklin County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Bourbeuse River. The stream headwaters arise on the northeast side of St. Clair at 38°21′28″N 90°58′12″W and it flows north passing under and then running roughly parallel to Interstate 44. It crosses under US Route 50 just prior to its confluence with the Bourbeuse at 38°26′45″N 90°55′19″W about five miles east of Union.Birch Creek was named for the birch trees lining its course.

James North House, also known as The House, is a historic home located at Labadie, Franklin County, Missouri. It was built about 1819, and is a two-story, central passage plan, frame I-house. It is five bays wide and has a one-story front porch on stone piers.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Villa Ridge is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Franklin County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,636 at the 2010 census, up from 2,417 at the 2000 census.

The International Shoe Company Building is a historic shoe factory building located at 160 N. Main St. in St. Clair, Franklin County, Missouri. The building was erected in 1922 as a factory for the International Shoe Company. It is a three-story, irregular-shaped building with a flat asphalt roof. It has a four-story elevator tower. The factory closed in 1982.: 5, 12 It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 7, 1994.

East Central College (ECC) is a public community college with its main campus in Union, Missouri. It also offers classes in Rolla and Washington. Approximately 2,100 students are enrolled in classes each semester. ECC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Robertsville State Park is a public recreation area bordering the Meramec River in unincorporated Robertsville in Franklin County, Missouri. The state park's 1,225 acres (496 ha) include a boat launch, campground, playground, picnic shelters, and the Spice Bush and Lost Hill hiking trails. The land was once owned by Edward James Roberts, who moved to the area at age 14 in 1831.

Panhorst Feed Store is a historic commercial building located at St. Clair, Franklin County, Missouri. It was built in 1917–1918, and is a one-story, vernacular wood-frame building. The building measures approximately 20 feet wide by 40 feet deep and has a gable roof with false front.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
