InterContinental Dublin formerly the Four Seasons Hotel Dublin is a Five Star luxury hotel located in Ballsbridge, on the south side of Dublin. Formerly part of the Toronto based Four Seasons chain of luxury hotels and resorts. The InterContinental Dublin was rebranded on 1 January 2015. Built in 2001, the hotel has at various times been included in Travel and Leisure's Top 500 hotels since its opening.In 2011 the hotel was sold out of Receivership by Anglo Irish Bank to the Livingstone Brother's London & Regional Properties for an estimated €15m.In 2019 the hotel was acquired by a John C. Malone backed vehicle for an estimated €50m.The hotel also houses serviced apartments at the penthouse level.

Located in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, the street is bordered to the north by Merrion Road and to the south by Ailesbury Road.

It has two platforms, both fully accessible via ramps.There is a level crossing as the railway line crosses Sandymount Avenue. The Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, commonly called the Young Scientist Exhibition, is an Irish annual school students' science competition that has been held in the Royal Dublin Society, Dublin, Ireland, every January since the competition was founded by Tom Burke and Tony Scott in 1965.

The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) (Irish: Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Átha Cliath) is an Irish philanthropic organisation which was founded as the 'Dublin Society' on 25 June 1731 to see Ireland thrive culturally and economically. The RDS is synonymous with its campus in Ballsbridge in Dublin, Ireland. This campus includes the "RDS Arena", "RDS Simmonscourt", "RDS Main Hall" and other venues which are used regularly for exhibitions, concerts and sporting events, including regular use by the Leinster Rugby team. The Royal Dublin Society was granted Royal Patronage in 1820. RDS Members Club, itself a member of the International Associate Clubs (IAC) organisation, is a members-only club offering exclusive access to sports events on its premises and weekly luncheons and dinners.The RDS is one of nine organisations which can nominate candidates to contest the Agricultural Panel at Seanad elections.

Sandymount Avenue (Irish: Ascaill Dhumhach Thrá) joins Merrion Road to Gilford Road in Sandymount, Dublin. Sandymount railway station is located roughly halfway along it at a level crossing. It is a residential area.W.B. Yeats, the Nobel Prize-winning poet, was born here. A plaque now marks his birthplace.

Ailesbury Road (Bóthar Aelsbaire in Irish), Dublin 4, Ireland, is an affluent tree-lined avenue linking Sydney Parade Station on Sydney Parade Avenue and the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook. Many embassies and diplomatic residences have historically been located on the road, including the striking residence of the French Ambassador, the embassy of the People's Republic of China, and the Japanese embassy (before it relocated to the nearby Merrion Centre.) From Ailesbury Road, Shrewsbury Road forms the link to the Merrion Road, though Ailesbury Road meets Merrion Road near its eastern end. Other neighboring street names include Ailesbury Drive, Ailesbury Park, Ailesbury Gardens & Ailesbury Grove. Reflecting the high property price tags in the area, Ailesbury Road is the second-most expensive property on the Irish Monopoly board, being one of the two "purple" property squares.

RDS Arena is a multi-purpose sports stadium, owned by the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) and located in the Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge, Ireland. The arena was developed to host equestrian events, primarily the annual Dublin Horse Show, which was first held there in 1881. The site had been acquired in 1879 by the RDS. The primary tenants of the RDS Arena are Leinster Rugby who compete in the United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup. The arena has also hosted soccer and wrestling events and concerts. It has a capacity of 18,500, 16,500 of which is seated. The demountable north and south stands are removed for equestrian events, with only the Grandstand and Anglesea Stand permanent. The Anglesea Stand was completed in 1927.

St. Mary's Church, was a Church of Ireland, church in Donnybrook, Dublin. The church was consecrated in April 1830 on Anglesea Road. The church was de-consecrated by Archbishop of Dublin Michael Jackson, on July 3rd, 2020. Following the closure of the church the Parish was merged with Irishtown, to form the Irishtown and Donnybrook Union of Parishes, and served by St. Matthew's Parish Church.In the grounds is the War Memorial Cross, commemorating parishioners who died in the First World War, Second World War and Korean War.The alter furniture from the Church of Ireland Training College, Kildare Place, was given to St. Mary's following the College of Educations move Rathmine in 1969. It was returned to the college following the churches closure in 2020 and was moved to and rededicated in DCU All Hallows College Chapel, by the Archbishop of Dublin Michael Jackson, for use by Church of Ireland Centre and community there.Canon Arthur Gore Ryder DD, was the first Rector of Donnybrook (1867-1889) following St. Mary's separation from the archdeaconry of Dublin. Other clergy included Rector Rev. Dr. Robert Walsh and the Rev. Edward (Ted) Ardis. The final Rector of the church was the Rev. John Marchent.Two ancestors of Meghan Markle, Mary McCue and Thomas Bird, an English soldier, were married at St Mary's church, Donnybrook, in 1860.

Claremont Road is a cricket ground in Dublin, Ireland. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1994, when Munster played North West. In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home of YMCA Cricket Club.The ground has hosted 5 Women's One Day Internationals, the first of which came in 2005 and saw Ireland women play Australia women. The second Women's ODI came in 2006 when Ireland women played the Netherlands women. In 2012 Ireland Women played Bangladesh and Pakistan in an ODI Tri-Series.The ground also hosted final of 2013 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan and Sri Lanka both went on to be undefeated at the tournament, sharing the title after the final was interrupted by rain.The ground was hosted for hosts to 2011 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

Pembroke Town Hall (Irish: Halla an Bhaile Pembroke) is a municipal building in Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland. The building currently accommodates the offices of the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee.

Dublin 4, also rendered as D4 and D04, is a historic postal district of Dublin, Ireland including Baggot Street Upper, the southernmost fringes of the Dublin Docklands, and the suburbs of Ballsbridge, Donnybrook, Irishtown, Merrion, Ringsend (including South Lotts and parts of Grand Canal Dock) and Sandymount, on the Southside of Dublin. Most of the area was known as Pembroke Township until 1930 when it was absorbed by the City and County Borough of Dublin. The headquarters of the national broadcaster RTÉ, the RDS, Merrion Centre, University College Dublin, Aviva Stadium, Google and a number of foreign embassies to Ireland are all located in Dublin 4.
