RDS Arena is a multi-purpose sports stadium, owned by the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) and located in the Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge, Ireland. The arena was developed to host equestrian events, primarily the annual Dublin Horse Show, which was first held there in 1881. The site had been acquired in 1879 by the RDS. The primary tenants of the RDS Arena are Leinster Rugby who compete in the United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup. The arena has also hosted soccer and wrestling events and concerts. It has a capacity of 18,500, 16,500 of which is seated. The demountable north and south stands are removed for equestrian events, with only the Grandstand and Anglesea Stand permanent. The Anglesea Stand was completed in 1927.

The Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, commonly called the Young Scientist Exhibition, is an Irish annual school students' science competition that has been held in the Royal Dublin Society, Dublin, Ireland, every January since the competition was founded by Tom Burke and Tony Scott in 1965.

The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) (Irish: Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Átha Cliath) is an Irish philanthropic organisation which was founded as the 'Dublin Society' on 25 June 1731 to see Ireland thrive culturally and economically. The RDS is synonymous with its campus in Ballsbridge in Dublin, Ireland. This campus includes the "RDS Arena", "RDS Simmonscourt", "RDS Main Hall" and other venues which are used regularly for exhibitions, concerts and sporting events, including regular use by the Leinster Rugby team. The Royal Dublin Society was granted Royal Patronage in 1820. RDS Members Club, itself a member of the International Associate Clubs (IAC) organisation, is a members-only club offering exclusive access to sports events on its premises and weekly luncheons and dinners.The RDS is one of nine organisations which can nominate candidates to contest the Agricultural Panel at Seanad elections.

Anglesea Road Cricket Ground is a cricket ground based on Anglesea Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, Ireland. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1971, when South Leinster played Ulster Country. The ground has hosted a single List-A match which saw Papua New Guinea play the United States.The ground has also hosted Women's One Day Internationals, one of which came in 2004 and saw Ireland women play New Zealand women.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home of Merrion Cricket Club who play in the Leinster League Division Two.

Anglesea Road is a road joining Donnybrook with Ballsbridge, in Dublin, Ireland. It forms part of the R108 regional route in Southeast Dublin. The River Dodder flows nearby Anglesea Road. A number of sports clubs and sports venues are located in and around the Anglesea Road area. These include Old Belvedere R.F.C., Merrion Cricket Club, Anglesea Road Cricket Ground and the RDS Arena.

Dublin 4, also rendered as D4 and D04, is a historic postal district of Dublin, Ireland including Baggot Street Upper, the southernmost fringes of the Dublin Docklands, and the suburbs of Ballsbridge, Donnybrook, Irishtown, Merrion, Ringsend (including South Lotts and parts of Grand Canal Dock) and Sandymount, on the Southside of Dublin. Ballsbridge (Irish: Droichead na Dothra, meaning 'Dodder bridge') (from historic Ball's Bridge) is an affluent neighbourhood of the city of Dublin, the capital of Ireland. The area is largely north and west of a three-arch stone bridge across the River Dodder, on the south side of the city. The sign on the bridge still proclaims it as "Ball's Bridge", in recognition of the fact that the original bridge on that location was built and owned by the Ball family, a well-known Dublin merchant family in the 1500s and the 1600s. The current bridge was built in 1791. Ballsbridge was once part of the Pembroke Township.

InterContinental Dublin formerly the Four Seasons Hotel Dublin is a Five Star luxury hotel located in Ballsbridge, on the south side of Dublin. Formerly part of the Toronto based Four Seasons chain of luxury hotels and resorts. The InterContinental Dublin was rebranded on 1 January 2015. Built in 2001, the hotel has at various times been included in Travel and Leisure's Top 500 hotels since its opening.In 2011 the hotel was sold out of Receivership by Anglo Irish Bank to the Livingstone Brother's London & Regional Properties for an estimated €15m.In 2019 the hotel was acquired by a John C. Malone backed vehicle for an estimated €50m.The hotel also houses serviced apartments at the penthouse level.

Donnybrook Stadium, known for sponsorship reasons as Energia Park, is a rugby union stadium in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, Ireland. The stadium has a capacity of 6,000, including a 2,500 seat covered grandstand which was completed in early 2008.

Herbert Park (Irish: Páirc Hoirbeaird) is the name of a road and a public park in Ballsbridge, Dublin.

The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Dublin is the chief diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Ireland. The Embassy is located on Merrion Road in the Ballsbridge area of the city. The current British Ambassador to Ireland is Paul Johnston.
