Ailesbury Road (Bóthar Aelsbaire in Irish), Dublin 4, Ireland, is an affluent tree-lined avenue linking Sydney Parade Station on Sydney Parade Avenue and the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook. Many embassies and diplomatic residences have historically been located on the road, including the striking residence of the French Ambassador, the embassy of the People's Republic of China, and the Japanese embassy (before it relocated to the nearby Merrion Centre.) From Ailesbury Road, Shrewsbury Road forms the link to the Merrion Road, though Ailesbury Road meets Merrion Road near its eastern end. Other neighboring street names include Ailesbury Drive, Ailesbury Park, Ailesbury Gardens & Ailesbury Grove. Reflecting the high property price tags in the area, Ailesbury Road is the second-most expensive property on the Irish Monopoly board, being one of the two "purple" property squares.

Formerly part of the Toronto based Four Seasons chain of luxury hotels and resorts. The InterContinental Dublin was rebranded on 1 January 2015. Built in 2001, the hotel has at various times been included in Travel and Leisure's Top 500 hotels since its opening.In 2011 the hotel was sold out of Receivership by Anglo Irish Bank to the Livingstone Brother's London & Regional Properties for an estimated €15m.In 2019 the hotel was acquired by a John C. Malone backed vehicle for an estimated €50m.The hotel also houses serviced apartments at the penthouse level.

It is located in the capital city of Ireland, Dublin.As of October 2019, the current Polish Ambassador to Ireland is Anna Sochańska.The embassy is also represented by a Honorary Consul in the western city of Limerick.

The RTÉ Television Centre is a television studio complex which is owned by Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) and has been home to Ireland's national public service broadcaster since 1961. It is situated at Donnybrook, Dublin 4. The building houses the main production studios for RTÉ Television, the control rooms for all RTÉ's TV channels, and RTÉ's main newsroom.

The Radio Centre is Irish broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ)'s main production and control centre for their national radio networks. The building is located on the RTÉ campus at Donnybrook in Dublin. Construction of the building commenced in June 1969 and was completed in April 1971.

Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) (pronounced [ˈɾˠadʲiːoː ˈtʲɛlʲəfʲiːʃ ˈeːɾʲən̪ˠ] (listen); Irish for "Radio & Television of Ireland") is the national broadcaster of Ireland headquartered in Donnybrook, Dublin. It both produces and broadcasts programmes on television, radio and online. The radio service began on 1 January 1926, while regular television broadcasts began on 31 December 1961, making it one of the oldest continuously operating public service broadcasters in the world. RTÉ also publishes a weekly listings and lifestyle magazine, the RTÉ Guide. RTÉ is a statutory body, overseen by a board appointed by the Government of Ireland, with general management in the hands of the Executive Board, headed by the Director-General. RTÉ is regulated by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. RTÉ is financed by television licence fee and through advertising, with some of its services funded solely by advertising, while others are funded solely by the licence fee. Radio Éireann, RTÉ's predecessor and at the time a section of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs, was one of 23 founding organisations of the European Broadcasting Union in 1950.

Sandymount railway station (Irish: Stáisiún Dhumhach Thrá) serves Sandymount and Ballsbridge (including RDS Simmonscourt) in Dublin, Ireland. It has two platforms, both fully accessible via ramps.There is a level crossing as the railway line crosses Sandymount Avenue. The Level Crossing is a MCB-CCTV (Manual Controlled Barrier level crossing).

St Michael's College (Irish: Coláiste Naomh Mícheál) is a voluntary Catholic boys' school, with an associated primary school, located on Ailesbury Road in Dublin 4, Ireland. Founded in 1944 by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (The Spiritans) as a second feeder school along with Willow Park, it was initially a primary school to Blackrock College. The first eight pupils were transferred from Willow Park. The next September, 58 boys were enrolled. In 1952 the first secondary school pupils were admitted. Following expansion in the 1960s and 1970s, the school developed both a primary and secondary school. It has been extensively expanded, including the opening of a cafeteria, a sports pavilion, as well as new classrooms and a new gym.

RDS Arena is a multi-purpose sports stadium, owned by the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) and located in the Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge, Ireland. The arena was developed to host equestrian events, primarily the annual Dublin Horse Show, which was first held there in 1881. The site had been acquired in 1879 by the RDS. The primary tenants of the RDS Arena are Leinster Rugby who compete in the United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup. The arena has also hosted soccer and wrestling events and concerts. It has a capacity of 18,500, 16,500 of which is seated. The demountable north and south stands are removed for equestrian events, with only the Grandstand and Anglesea Stand permanent. The Anglesea Stand was completed in 1927.

The Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, commonly called the Young Scientist Exhibition, is an Irish annual school students' science competition that has been held in the Royal Dublin Society, Dublin, Ireland, every January since the competition was founded by Tom Burke and Tony Scott in 1965.

The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) (Irish: Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Átha Cliath) is an Irish philanthropic organisation which was founded as the 'Dublin Society' on 25 June 1731 to see Ireland thrive culturally and economically. The RDS is synonymous with its campus in Ballsbridge in Dublin, Ireland. This campus includes the "RDS Arena", "RDS Simmonscourt", "RDS Main Hall" and other venues which are used regularly for exhibitions, concerts and sporting events, including regular use by the Leinster Rugby team. The Royal Dublin Society was granted Royal Patronage in 1820. RDS Members Club, itself a member of the International Associate Clubs (IAC) organisation, is a members-only club offering exclusive access to sports events on its premises and weekly luncheons and dinners.The RDS is one of nine organisations which can nominate candidates to contest the Agricultural Panel at Seanad elections.
