As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 14,294, an increase of 635 (+4.6%) from the 2010 census count of 13,659, which in turn reflected an increase of 504 (+3.8%) from the 13,155 counted in the 2000 census.

Plauderville is a NJ Transit train station located in Garfield, New Jersey, United States, served by the Bergen County Line. The station is in the north side of the city on Midland Avenue between Plauderville Avenue and Outwater Lane. The station is a full-service station as of April 2012, and has high-level platforms making the station accessible for people with disabilities. Starting in 2009, with money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, New Jersey Transit received funds to construct high-level platforms at Plauderville on the south side of Midland Avenue. Trains used the low-level platform until October 10, 2011, when trains were moved to the completed high-level platforms. The new high-level platform station was constructed by Anselmi & DeCicco, Inc. of Maplewood, New Jersey.

As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 21,422, an increase of 2,019 (+10.4%) from the 2010 census count of 19,403, which in turn reflected an increase of 478 (+2.5%) from the 18,925 counted in the 2000 census.Prior to 1916, the area was known as Dundee Lake, a section of Saddle River Township. Residents of the Dundee Lake area voted on April 18, 1916, to secede from Saddle River Township to form the Borough of East Paterson. In 1917, residents of the Rosemont section of Saddle River Township voted to be annexed to East Paterson. In November 1972, residents voted to change the name of the borough to Elmwood Park. The new name became official on January 1, 1973.Elmwood Park, being located in Bergen County, has strict blue laws, which require most businesses to be closed on Sunday.

Broadway (also known as Broadway–Fair Lawn) is an NJ Transit train station served by the Bergen County Line located in Fair Lawn, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It is one of two NJ Transit train stations in Fair Lawn, the other being Radburn. The station is located on an overpass above Route 4, which is known as Broadway in Elmwood Park and Fair Lawn.

East Paterson was a former commuter railroad train station in the borough of East Paterson (renamed Elmwood Park in 1973), Bergen County, New Jersey. East Paterson station serviced freight and passenger trains of the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway between the eponymous station in Butler to Pavonia Terminal in Jersey City (until December 12, 1958) and Susquehanna Transfer in North Bergen until June 30, 1966. The station contained a single low-level side platform and a 60-by-14-foot (18.3 m × 4.3 m) wooden frame depot on the north side of the tracks. Train service through Saddle River Township began on April 8, 1871 with the opening of the New Jersey Midland Railroad to Pompton Township. At that time, the railroad established a station at Dundee Lake near the Passaic River. Dundee Lake became its own municipality on April 18, 1916 and the station retained that name until October 15, 1928, when the railroad changed it to East Paterson, despite the municipality becoming East Paterson in April 1916. After the discontinuation of passenger service on June 30, 1966, the station sat unused until October 13, 1969, when it caught fire. The depot came down that November.
