Elmwood Park Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Elmwood Park, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of five schools, had an enrollment of 2,586 students and 195.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

East Paterson was a former commuter railroad train station in the borough of East Paterson (renamed Elmwood Park in 1973), Bergen County, New Jersey. East Paterson station serviced freight and passenger trains of the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway between the eponymous station in Butler to Pavonia Terminal in Jersey City (until December 12, 1958) and Susquehanna Transfer in North Bergen until June 30, 1966. The station contained a single low-level side platform and a 60-by-14-foot (18.3 m × 4.3 m) wooden frame depot on the north side of the tracks. Train service through Saddle River Township began on April 8, 1871 with the opening of the New Jersey Midland Railroad to Pompton Township. At that time, the railroad established a station at Dundee Lake near the Passaic River. Dundee Lake became its own municipality on April 18, 1916 and the station retained that name until October 15, 1928, when the railroad changed it to East Paterson, despite the municipality becoming East Paterson in April 1916. After the discontinuation of passenger service on June 30, 1966, the station sat unused until October 13, 1969, when it caught fire. The depot came down that November.

Elmwood Park Memorial High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from Elmwood Park, in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the Elmwood Park Public Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1963.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 787 students and 52.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.0:1. There were 188 students (23.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 38 (4.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Passaic Junction is a rail yard owned by New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway along the border of Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The yard is also known by its telegraph call 'PC'. In the late 19th century, this area had been known as Coalburg Junction. The yard has a connection to and is the official interchange location with Norfolk Southern. Used as a customer car storage yard but has been surrounded by a few small industries. A team track is also located here. At the west end of the yard beyond the Bergen County Line overhead crossing is Passaic Branch junction.

Van Houten-Hillman House is located in Elmwood Park, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 9, 1983.

St. Anne School, founded in 1949, is a private, parochial elementary school, grades pre-Kindergarten through eighth, located in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. St. Anne's is of Roman Catholic denomination, and the school's district is the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. St. Anne School has been accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and was last credited April 2007. St. Anne School serves children of any race or ethnic background in the surrounding towns in Bergen County, New Jersey, such as Fair Lawn, Elmwood Park, Saddle Brook, Paterson, and others. As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 318 students (plus 45 students in PreK) and 25.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 12.7.St. Anne's was permanently shut down towards the end of the 2020 school year after the archdiocese decided to close multiple schools due to financial losses from the pandemic.

Broadway (also known as Broadway–Fair Lawn) is an NJ Transit train station served by the Bergen County Line located in Fair Lawn, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It is one of two NJ Transit train stations in Fair Lawn, the other being Radburn. The station is located on an overpass above Route 4, which is known as Broadway in Elmwood Park and Fair Lawn.

A. Zerega's Sons, Inc. was a privately owned pasta company with plants in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and Lee's Summit, Missouri. The company was founded by Antoine Zerega in Brooklyn, New York in 1848 making it the first pasta company in the United States. Antoine's son Frank was a pasta maker for 83 years and served as the company's president. Both Zerega Avenue in the Bronx and the elevated train station on the New York City Subway's Pelham Line were named after Antoine. The company moved from Brooklyn at 28 Front Street to Fair Lawn in 1952.In May 2020 it was announced that Zerega's was sold to fifth-generation family-owned Philadelphia Macaroni.

Cedar Lawn Cemetery is a rural cemetery in Paterson, New Jersey, and is also considered one of the finest Victorian cemeteries in the USA. Cedar Lawn Cemetery officially opened in September 1867, and recorded its first burial on September 27, 1867. Cedar Lawn is located on a multi-acre plot bordered by Lakeview Avenue (CR 624), Crooks Avenue, I-80, and NJ-20; the plot is also home to the adjacent Calvary Cemetery, a Roman Catholic burial ground. Over 85,000 people are interned at Cedar Lawn. During the Revolutionary War, the cemetery was farmland, owned by Annatje Von Riper, her son Henry Doremus, and Hessel Peterse. The British army plundered the three households on its march through New Jersey in November 1776.

Vreeland Avenue was railroad station in Paterson, New Jersey served by the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad (NYS&W). until 1966. Service by the New Jersey Midland, a predecessor to the NYS&W, had begun in 1873. The station house dates to 1949. Other extant station buildings from the New Jersey Midland/NYSW can be found at Wortendyke, Butler, and Newfoundland, among other places.The location in the People's Park neighborhood is potential station of New Jersey Transit Rail Operations proposed Passaic–Bergen–Hudson Transit Project.

Paterson Catholic Regional High School was a private four year Catholic high school located in Paterson, in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey .The school served students from ninth through twelfth grade and operated under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson. Due to dwindling enrollment and monetary problems, the Paterson Diocese closed Paterson Catholic at the end of the 2009-10 school year.As of the 2009-10 school year, the school had an enrollment of 303 students and 22.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.4.

There were 164 students (56.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
