Murphey School

Eno is an unincorporated community in Orange County, North Carolina, United States. It is located at the intersection of Interstate 85 and U.S. Route 70.

Carolina Friends School is an independent, co-educational Quaker school located in Durham, North Carolina. It enrolls students from age 3 and pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school was founded in 1962 by members of the Durham Friends Meeting and Chapel Hill Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends as one of the first racially integrated schools in the South and the first in the state. While CFS is guided by Quaker values, it is a secular and inclusive independent school. Most students, parents, and teachers at CFS are not Quaker. They follow other religious traditions or none.

Cabe-Pratt-Harris House, also known as Riverland Farm, is a historic home located near Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. It was built about 1820, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Late Georgian style frame dwelling with a gable roof. It sits on a raised fieldstone foundation and has flanking stone chimneys with brick stacks. It has a rear addition built in the 1940s, and was renovated in the 1980s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Bennett Place is a former farm and homestead in Durham, North Carolina, which was the site of the last surrender of a major Confederate army in the American Civil War, when Joseph E. Johnston surrendered to William T. Sherman. The first meeting (April 17, 1865) saw Sherman agreeing to certain political demands by the Confederates, which were promptly rejected by the Union cabinet in Washington. Another meeting had to be held (April 26) to agree on military terms only, in line with Robert E. Lee’s recent surrender to Ulysses S. Grant. This effectively ended the war.

Eno River State Park is a 4,319-acre (17.48 km2) North Carolina state park in Durham and Orange Counties, North Carolina. Together with the adjoining West Point on the Eno city park, the two parks preserve over 14 miles (22.5 km) of the Eno River and surrounding lands. There are five public access areas with features including twenty-four miles of hiking trails, canoe launches, picnic areas, and historic structures.

The Patterson Plantation, also known as Holly Rock Farm, is a historic Federal style plantation house located on the edge of Durham in Orange County, North Carolina. The home was once the center of a 2,200-acre plantation dating back to the 18th-century.

The Chapel Hill Zen Center (also called the Red Cedar Mountain Temple) is a Sōtō Zen Buddhist center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina founded in 1981. The center has been led by Josho Pat Phelan since 1991, who officially became abbess of the center in 2000.The Chapel Hill Zen Center is associated with the San Francisco Zen Center and is a member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association.

Rigsbee's Rock House is a historic home and national historic district located near Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. The house was built in 1929, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular, white flint rubble dwelling with a steeply pitched hipped roof in the Tudor Revival style. The house was restored in 1986–1987. Also on the property are the contributing original two car, detached garage, a pump house, and an outdoor swimming pool, each constructed of white flint rock.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

WLLQ is a daytime-only AM radio station licensed to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on 1530 kHz. The station is part of the regional Mexican music network called La Grande.

The Duke Lemur Center is a 100-acre (40 ha) sanctuary for rare and endangered strepsirrhine primates, located at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. It is the largest sanctuary for strepsirrhine primates in the world.The center is open to the public through tours, for which visitors must make an appointment.

Blackwood is an unincorporated community in Orange County, North Carolina, United States. It is located on North Carolina Highway 86, north of Eubanks, and is next to a train line running from Hillsborough to Carrboro. The primary commercial area of Blackwood is at the intersection of Hwy 86 South and Mill House Rd. to the west and Mt. Sinai Rd. to the east. Allen & Son Barbecue, located by the train track, was an institution for many UNC students and alumni before it closed in 2018.
