Williamson College is a private nondenominational Christian college in Franklin, Tennessee. It was founded in 1997 as Williamson Christian College.

The Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame was established in 1991 by the Tennessee Golf Foundation as a non-profit organization. The hall of fame is located at the "Golf House Tennessee" a 21,000 square foot golf complex in Franklin, Tennessee (near Nashville), which houses administration all of the state's golf activities, including pro golf, amateur golf, women's golf, junior golf, and turfgrass research."Induction in to the hall of fame includes one or more of the following criteria for Tennesseans: a significant record as a championship player a benefactor, promoter, administrator, or volunteer for the game one who embodies the core values and honorable traditions of the gameThe first inductees in 1992 were Lou Graham, Cary Middlecoff, Mason Rudolph. As of 2019, the hall included 51 members, including Sarah Ingram, Ted Rhodes, Katherine Graham, Toby S. Wilt, Jean St. Charles, Dick Horton and Vince Gill.

Studio 19, originally named Music City Recorders, is a music studio in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded in late 1964 by Bill Connor and Scotty Moore, original guitar player for Elvis Presley. Originally located on Nashville's Music Row, the studio relocated in 2015 after the original building was sold and demolished.In 1968, the studio completed a $100,000 expansion project that included the installation of an 8-track recording facility.In 1970, Beatles drummer Ringo Starr recorded the solo album Beaucoups of Blues at the studio, with Moore as engineer. A few weeks later, the studio completed the purchase of the land and building it occupied, with the intention of expanding the building within the coming years. Plans for the expansion were announced in December of that year.In 1974, the studio was purchased by brothers Jack and Bud Logan of the Shannon music label. Jack Logan took over engineering while Bud became the producer for acts from the Shannon label.In 1982, the studio was sold to the SiJohn Music Group and renamed Studio 19.In 1984, the studio was sold to current owners Larry Rogers and Pat Brewer.The studio's original building was sold and demolished in 2015. Studio 19 relocated to the complex at Sound Kitchen, in Franklin, Tennessee.

The David McEwen House is a property in Franklin, Tennessee, United States that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It dates from c. 1798. It includes Dogtrot log cabin architecture.This house is one of five log buildings built during 1798 to 1800 (the earliest non-indigenous settling of the area) which survive to the present. Others, also NRHP-listed, are: the William Ogilvie House, the Andrew Crockett House, the Daniel McMahan House, and the William Boyd House.

Thomas Shute House is a property in Franklin, Tennessee, United States, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The property has also been known as Creekside. It dates from at c.1845. When listed the property included three contributing buildings, and two contributing structures on an area of 4.8 acres (1.9 ha). The property was covered in a 1988 study of Williamson County historical resources. It is one of about thirty "significant brick and frame residences" surviving in Williamson County that were built during 1830 to 1860 and "were the center of large plantations " and display "some of the finest construction of the ante-bellum era." It faces on the Franklin and Columbia Pike that ran south from Brentwood to Franklin to Columbia.

The Denny P. Hadley House is a house in Brentwood, Tennessee, United States, that dates from c.1840 and that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It has also been known as Green Pastures and as Hadleywood. The structure is a two-story brick central passage plan house and other architecture. The house was considered notable as an example of brick ante-bellum central passage plan residence. When listed, the property included three contributing buildings and three non-contributing structures on an area of 3.7 acres (1.5 ha).Denny Porterfield Hadley was born in 1797 and moved to Williamson County in 1808. In 1821, Hadley married Elizabeth Smith, and they were gifted 200 acres of land by her father. Around 1840, the Hadleys hired builder Asa Vaugn to build the house, with most construction materials coming from their farm. During the Civil War, the house was used several times as a campsite by both armies.The NRHP-eligibility of the property was covered in a 1988 study of Williamson County historical resources.

CoolSprings Galleria is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall in the Cool Springs commercial and residential corridor between Franklin and Brentwood, Tennessee, 15 miles (24 km) south of Nashville. Opened in 1991, it features over 165 stores. The anchor stores are JCPenney, 2 Belk stores, H&M, American Girl, Ulta Beauty, Dillard's, Forever 21, and Macy's. The major tenant is The Cheesecake Factory. CBL Properties developed the mall in a joint venture with the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation, and has owned it since its opening; CBL also owns an adjacent power center called CoolSprings Crossing which was developed simultaneously.

Roper's Knob Fortifications were constructed by Union Army forces between February and May 1863 in Franklin, Tennessee. According to Tennessee Archaeology, "Roper's Knob served as part of a chain of signal stations that provided a communications link from Franklin to Murfreesboro. Additionally the knob had a large redoubt capable of holding four large artillery pieces, a blockhouse, cisterns, and a magazine. ... "Artillery at Fort Granger, another fortification in Franklin, played a role in the November 1864 Battle of Franklin, but it is believed that Roper's Knob was not then occupied. It is nonetheless believed that artillery had at some point been hoisted into the fortification, in part on the archeological evidence of an artillery fuse found there, but was removed in 1864 when the battlefronts moved south. The area was investigated by an archeological dig in 2000. A letter written by a 22nd Wisconsin soldier - Herman L. Cunningham - on June 28, 1863, from atop Roper's Knob, reveals in part, "Company H, K, & G occupy a Knob about three hundred feet high, with breastworks, stockade, and 125 pounder (cannon). The rest of the Regiment is over to the other fort [Fort Granger] 3/4 of a mile from here, that and the 85th Indiana command this post." The letter header says "Roper's Knob, Franklin."In a study of Civil War Historic and Historic Archeological Resources in Tennessee, it is noted that Winstead Hill, Fort Granger, the Carter House, and Carnton comprise the Franklin Battlefield National Historic Landmark area, but Roper's Knob is not included.: 28  The document describes criteria for listing of fortifications on the National Register of Historic Places which applied to the later Roper's Knob nomination. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The listing was for an area of 58.4 acres (23.6 ha).

Glen Echo, also known as Harpeth Hall, is a property in Franklin, Tennessee that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It is a former plantation house that is now the centerpiece and administrative office of the Battle Ground Academy campus. It was designed and/or built c. 1828 by Joseph Ruff. The structure includes Federal architecture. The NRHP listing was for an area of 14 acres (5.7 ha) with just one contributing building.It was one of about thirty surviving antebellum "significant brick and frame residences" built in Williamson County that were centers of slave plantations. It is one of several of these located "on the rich farmland surrounding Franklin"; others were the Dr. Hezekiah Oden House, the Franklin Hardeman House and the Samuel Glass House, the Thomas Brown House, the Stokely Davis House, the Beverly Toon House and the Samuel S. Marten House.

Battle Ground Academy (BGA) is an independent college-preparatory school for grades K-12. BGA is located in Franklin, Tennessee, US. Founded in 1889, the school was originally located in part on the site of the Battle of Franklin in the American Civil War. BGA has two campuses. The Harpeth Campus is located on Franklin Road in the historic Cox House and is home to Grades K-4. The Glen Echo campus is located off Mack Hatcher Parkway and is home to grades 5 to 12.

The Nashville Tennessee Temple is the 84th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is located in Franklin, Tennessee, United States, approximately 20 miles (32 km) southwest of central Nashville. The intent to build the Nashville Tennessee Temple was announced in 1994.The temple originally was to be built in the affluent suburb of Forest Hills, but the plan was turned down by city commissioners due to zoning rules. It was eventually built next to an existing meetinghouse in Franklin using the church's small temple plan. The temple's exterior is constructed from Imperial Danby white marble and has a single spire topped with the familiar statue of the angel Moroni. The temple serves church members in central and eastern Tennessee and western Kentucky. During the open house held May 6–13, 2000, almost 25,000 people toured the temple. James E. Faust, of the church's First Presidency, dedicated the Nashville Tennessee Temple on May 21, 2000.The Nashville Tennessee Temple has a total floor area of 10,700 square feet (990 m2), two ordinance rooms, and two sealing rooms.

The Daniel McMahan House is a property in Franklin, Tennessee, United States, that dates from c. 1800 and that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It includes Central passage plan and other architecture. When listed the property included one contributing building and two contributing structures on an area of 2.3 acres (0.93 ha).Daniel McMahan was one of the early settlers of the region. His house is one of five log buildings built during 1798 to 1800, during the earliest settling of the area, which survive to today. Others, also NRHP-listed, are: the David McEwen House, the Andrew Crockett House, the William Ogilvie House, and the William Boyd House.
