Oak Grove School District 68 is a school district in the central Lake County village of Green Oaks; it is located in the township of Libertyville. The district consists of a single school, Oak Grove School. Allison Sherman is the district's superintendent.In September 2010, the school was identified by Chicago Magazine as third on the list of Best Elementary Schools in the Lake County. In years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Oak Grove School was identified in the top 5% of all Illinois Schools by Searchlight A+ Award for high student achievement as measured by Illinois Standards Achievement Test.

Islamic Foundation North is a mosque located in Waukegan, Illinois. Its current building was built in 2004. The organization itself has existed since 1977 when it was established to serve the needs of the Muslim community of Chicago's northern suburbs. It is not affiliated with Islamic Foundation in Villa Park, Illinois. The Imam and resident scholar of the mosque is Azfar Uddin.

The company was founded by Chicago physician Wallace Calvin Abbott in 1888 to formulate known drugs; today, it sells medical devices, diagnostics, branded generic medicines and nutritional products. It split off its research-based pharmaceuticals business into AbbVie in 2013. Abbott's products include Pedialyte, Similac, BinaxNOW, Ensure, Glucerna, ZonePerfect, FreeStyle Libre, i-STAT and MitraClip.

Lambs Farm is a non-profit organization near Libertyville, Illinois, that provides vocational and residential services for over 250 adults with developmental disabilities. Located on a 72-acre (290,000 m2) campus, Lambs Farm includes several family attractions, such as a petting zoo, a pet shop, a miniature golf course, several small amusement rides, a restaurant, a thrift shop, a country store and a bakery. Lambs Farm community members work at these attractions, or at a nearby vocational center.Lambs Farm was formed in the 1960s by Corrine Owen and Robert Terese. Owen and Terese had been teaching at a school for adults with developmental disabilities, and were discouraged by the limited opportunities available to such people. In 1961, they opened a pet store near Chicago's Gold Coast and employed twelve of their students, who enthusiastically helped tend to the animals. Four years later, Owen and Therese acquired a farm near Libertyville with the help of W. Clement Stone and began developing the current Lambs Farm facility. By the late 1980s, Lambs Farm was hosting over 300,000 visitors a year, making it the third most popular attraction in Lake County, Illinois (behind Great America and the Ravinia Festival).The farm takes its name from John 21:15, in which Jesus tells St. Peter, "Feed my lambs."

The 10th congressional district of Illinois lies in the northeast corner of the state and mostly comprises northern suburbs of Chicago. It was created after the 1860 census. The district is currently represented by Democrat Brad Schneider. The area of the district was originally represented by one of Abraham Lincoln's closest allies, Elihu B. Washburne (R-Waukegan). The district was created in 1982 redistricting out of districts represented by John Porter (R-Wilmette) and Robert McClory (R-Lake Bluff). On the retirement of McClory, the district was represented by Porter after winning the elections of 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, and 1998. Following Porter's retirement, 11 Republicans and two Democrats ran to succeed him. Eventually 9 Republicans and one Democrat stood for election in the primary of March 2000. John Porter's former Chief of Staff, Mark Kirk, won the Republican primary over number two rival Shaun Donnely. Kirk then defeated State Representative Lauren Beth Gash (D-Highland Park) by 2% in the 2000 general election. Kirk remained in Congress until he decided to run for the United States Senate in the 2010 election. He was succeeded by Republican Robert Dold. The 10th is home to several Fortune 500 companies, including, but not limited to: CDW, Walgreens, Underwriters Laboratories, Caterpillar, Inc., Baxter Healthcare, AbbVie, Allstate Insurance, and Mondelez International. The Naval Station Great Lakes near North Chicago, hosting the United States Navy's only boot camp, trains 38,000 recruits each year. 5.2% of the district's inhabitants have performed military service.

Libertyville Township is a township in Lake County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 53,139. The village of Libertyville is part of the township, as are parts of Green Oaks, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Mettawa, Mundelein, North Chicago, Rondout, Vernon Hills and Waukegan.

Rondout is an unincorporated community in Lake County, Illinois, United States that first formed around a railroad junction. The area is located within Libertyville Township. As Rondout is an unincorporated community rather than a municipality, it lacks clearly defined borders, and shares postal codes with Lake Bluff, Lake Forest and Libertyville, Illinois. It has its own elementary school which comes under Rondout School District 72. Illinois Route 176 passes east–west through Rondout, serving as the "main street" of the community, where it is also called "Rockland Road".

The David Adler Estate was the house and property of American architect David Adler in Libertyville, Illinois, United States. It is the house most closely associated with his life and career. The house is now operated as the David Adler Music and Arts Center.

Lakehurst Cinemas (originally known as General Cinema Lakehurst 12 until 2000) was a multiplex movie theatre located in Waukegan, Illinois, United States, that operated from 1974 until 2007.

The Proctor Building is a historic hotel and commercial building at 520-30 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, Illinois. The building was constructed in 1903 during a period of commercial growth in Libertyville spurred by new passenger rail connections to Chicago. The three brothers R.J., C.W., and R.E. Proctor and their cousin E.W. Proctor were the original owners of the building, which was the largest of Libertyville's three hotels when it opened. Architect William G. Krieg designed the building, which features three-sided oriel windows and an elaborate limestone entrance to the hotel. Major businesses such as A&P, Woolworth's, and Jewel occupied the building's first-floor commercial spaces, while the second-floor hotel hosted visitors and became a focal point of the city's business and social circles.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 5, 1998.
