Ferentium

Diocese of Ferentium is a former bishopric (now titular see) with capital in town Ferentium near Viterbo (in Lazio, Central Italy), which absorbed it.

The Ferento Roman Theater (Italian: Ferento Teatro Romano) is an ancient Roman theater in Ferentium, province of Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. It was built in the 1st century AD near the decumanus of ancient Ferentium. The theater went into decline after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The medieval town of Ferentium underwent further decline after its destruction by Viterbo in 1172. The structure is still used in the summer for open-air concerts, representations and other spectacles.

Acquarossa or Fosso Acqua Rossa is the modern name of the location of an ancient Etruscan settlement abandoned or destroyed in the second half of the sixth century BC. Located near Viterbo, in Etruria, was excavated by the Swedish Institute at Rome in the 1960s and 1970s. An elite complex similar to the Regia in Rome was excavated at the site.

Vitorchiano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Viterbo in the Italian region of Latium, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Rome and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Viterbo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,690 and an area of 29.8 square kilometres (11.5 sq mi). Vitorchiano borders the following municipalities: Bomarzo, Soriano nel Cimino, Viterbo. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").

The Basilica of Santa Maria della Quercia is a Renaissance-style, Roman Catholic sanctuary church and minor basilica, about two kilometer outside of the center of Viterbo, on the road to Bagnaia, in the Region of Lazio, Italy.

Bagnaia is about 7 km from Viterbo and 100 km from Rome. The "Fuoco di Sant Antonio" is a large bonfire erected in the town center and, with much merriment, lit on the evening of each 16th of January in honor of the St Anthony.

Villa Lante did not become well known until it passed to Ippolito Lante Montefeltro della Rovere, Duke of Bomarzo, in the 17th century, when it was already 100 years old. The Villa, a property of the Republic of Italy, since December 2014, is run by the Polo Museale del Lazio.

The church is just northeast of the Piazza della Rocca Albornoz, just diagonally behind the Palazzo Grandori, at the northern edge (near Porta Fiorentina) of historic Viterbo.
