Central Arkansas, also known as the Little Rock metro, designated by the United States Office of Management and Budget as the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area, is the most populous metro area in the U.S. state of Arkansas. With an estimated 2020 population of 748,031, it is the most populated area in Arkansas. Located at the convergence of Arkansas's other geographic regions, the region's central location make Central Arkansas an important population, economic, education, and political center in Arkansas and the South. Little Rock is the state's capital and largest city, and the city is also home to two Fortune 500 companies, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

The Diocese of Little Rock (Latin: Dioecesis Petriculana) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical jurisdiction or diocese of the Catholic Church for Arkansas in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. The Diocese of Little Rock was established on November 28, 1843. The seat of the diocese is the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock.

Little Rock (Quapaw: I’i-zhinka, lit. 'Little rock') is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The city's population was 204,405 in 2022. The six-county Little Rock metropolitan area is the 81st-most populous in the United States with 748,031 residents according to the 2020 census.As the county seat of Pulaski County, the city was incorporated on November 7, 1831, on the south bank of the Arkansas River close to the state's geographic center in Central Arkansas. The city derived its name from a rock formation along the river, named the "Little Rock" by the French explorer Jean-Baptiste Bénard de la Harpe in 1722. The capital of the Arkansas Territory was moved to Little Rock from Arkansas Post in 1821. Little Rock is a cultural, economic, government, and transportation center within Arkansas and the American South. Several cultural institutions are in Little Rock, such as the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, in addition to hiking, boating, and other outdoor recreational opportunities. Little Rock's history is available through history museums, historic districts or neighborhoods of Little Rock like the Quapaw Quarter, and historic sites such as Little Rock Central High School and West Ninth Street. The city is the headquarters of Dillard's, Windstream Communications, Stephens Inc., University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Heifer International, Winrock International, the Clinton Foundation, and the Rose Law Firm.

Gary Hogan Field is a baseball venue located in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. It has been home to the Little Rock Trojans college baseball team of the Division I Sun Belt Conference since 1978 and also the home of the Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes junior college baseball team of Region 2 of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Formerly known as Curran Conway Field, the venue has a capacity of 2,550.

The Mary H. Matthews Lustron House was a historic house at 5021 Maryland Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was a single-story prefabricated house, erected on site about 1949. It was one of four known surviving examples of a Lustron house in the state (out of twelve documented to be shipped into the state). These houses were prefabricated in Columbus, Ohio, and feature a steel frame clad in porcelain-enameled steel panels. The roof was also clad in similar panel and retained other original features.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. but was delisted in 2020 after it was demolished in October 2019.

The Buhler House is a historic house at 1820 Fair Park Boulevard in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story structure, its exterior clad in brick, set on a field stone foundation. Stylistically it is in the English Revival, with a tile roof and trim elements of concrete. The house's most distinctive feature is its internal frame, which is constructed entirely out of steel beams. Its exterior and interior door frames are also steel, as is the front door, which has been processed to resemble walnut. It was built in 1930-31 by Henry Buhler, owner of a local real estate development firm. No other residential structure in the state has been documented to have this type of construction.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Wildwood Park for the Arts is a developing botanical garden and center for the arts located in western Little Rock, Arkansas's Chenal Valley. Its mission is to challenge the intellect, engage the imagination and celebrate the human spirit through encounters with nature and a full spectrum of the cultural arts: visual arts, performing, literary, horticulture, culinary and more.Gardens on the 104-acre woodland site include the Richard C. Butler Arboretum, the Gertrude Remmel Butler Gazebo and Gardens (a project of the Chenal Valley Garden Club), the Ruth Allen Dogwood Trail, the Boop Water Garden, the Carl Hunter Wildflower Glen, the Bruce Theatre Gardens, the Doris Carre Gay Asian Garden (a project of the Pulaski County Master Gardeners),the Campbell Davies Reflection Garden and an 8-acre (32,000 m2) swan lake. Paved walking trails provide access to all areas of the park. In addition to the 625-seat Lucy Lockett Cabe Theatre, the park includes a studio theatre complex, production facilities, and the park's administrative offices.

Ray Winder Field was a baseball park in Little Rock, Arkansas. The ballpark sat with home plate in roughly the north-northwest corner of the property. The former boundaries of the park were Interstate 630 (south, right field); Jonesboro Drive (west, right field corner); South Monroe Street (west, first base stands); buildings on driveway extended from Ray Winder Drive (north, third base stands); buildings bordering South Palm Street (east, right field). The field was in operation for around 74 years.

The Little Rock Zoo was founded in 1926 and is located in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. It is home to more than 725 animals representing over 200 species, and covers an area of 33 acres (13 ha). The Arkansas Zoological Foundation is a private 501 c (3) organization that raises funds for zoo development. The Little Rock Zoo is a department of the city of Little Rock. It is the largest zoo in Arkansas, and the only Arkansas zoo accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

Jack Stephens Center is a 5,600-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States and was built in 2005. It is home to the school's men's basketball, women's basketball, men's wrestling, and women's volleyball teams, known as the Little Rock Trojans, and named in honor of billionaire philanthropist Jackson T. Stephens, who donated $22.4 million for the construction of the facility. The facility is located on the north end of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus, adjacent to the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service State Office. It features a full court practice gymnasium, named in honor of former Trojans basketball star Derek Fisher, academic support spaces, a weight room, and training rooms.The Trojans had previously played in Barton Coliseum, Verizon Arena and the Statehouse Convention Center. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the area hosted meetings of the State of Arkansas House of Representatives

The Over-the-Jumps Carousel, also known as the Herschell-Spillman Carousel is a historic carousel at the Little Rock Zoo in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in the 1920s and first exhibited at the 1924 Arkansas State Fair, it is believed to be the last operating "over-the-jumps" carousel in the world, with an original undulating wooden platform mounted on a 1960s-vintage caterpillar drive. The horses were carved by the Allan Herschell Company. After many years of private ownership, the carousel was acquired by a local nonprofit group and donated to the zoo in 2007. The carousel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
