St Vincent's Quarter is one of Sheffield's eleven designated quarters, centring on and named after St Vincent's Church. Primarily an office and industrial location, its regeneration has increased rapidly over the past few years, with the new Metier residential block and Velocity Village office and residential accommodation springing up on the north side of Tenter Street. Despite recent development, the area still contains several dilapidated or derelict workshops and prostitution is common in the area. It is broadly triangular in shape, with Tenter Street and Broad Lane to the south, Netherthorpe Road and Hoyle Street to the north-west and Shalesmoor, Moorfields, Gibraltar Street and West Bar to the north-east. Currently, the A57 runs through the middle of the quarter but upon the completion of the Northern Relief Road, a dedicated route will be provided around the quarter, with the intention of improving the character of the area. It currently has three designated character areas: Furnace Hill, Solly Street, Well Meadow.The quarter played an important part in Sheffield's industrial heritage and examples include the cementation furnace on Doncaster Street and the crucible furnace and buildings at 35 Well Meadow Street.

St Vincent's Church is a redundant Roman Catholic church situated on Solly Street at its junction with Hollis Croft in the centre of the City of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The church fell into a worsening state of disrepair since closure, however the site was redeveloped recently, along with the surrounding area.

The Cementation furnace in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England is a Grade II Listed Building and is the only example of this type of steel making furnace to survive intact in Great Britain. It is situated on Doncaster Street in the St Vincent's Quarter just 0.6 miles (1 km) north west of the city centre.

The Green Lane Works are a disused industrial facility situated in the City of Sheffield, England. The entrance gate to the works is particularly ornate and has been designated as a Grade II* listed building. Nikolaus Pevsner called the gate “the most spectacular survival of factory architecture in the city”. The works are situated in the suburb of Neepsend within the Kelham Island Quarter of the city and date from 1795 although there were extensive alterations in 1860.

The Brooklyn Works is a former site of steel, saw and file manufacture, it is situated on Green Lane in the Kelham Island Quarter of the City of Sheffield, England. In recent years the works have been converted into residential apartments and offices. The structure is a Grade II listed building because of its importance as an example of Sheffield’s industrial heritage. The works stand adjacent to the listed industrial buildings of the Green Lane Works and Cornish Place in what has been called, “the most coherent stretch of industrial landscape in inner Sheffield”

Pennine Five (P5), known as the Pennine Centre prior to 2020, is a tower on Tenter Street in Sheffield, England. Construction started in 1973 on this immense building and was completed in 1975.The tower is 50 m (164 ft) tall and has 13 floors of office space. It was built in the International style, like the Arts Tower in Sheffield and Tower 42 in London.The Pennine Centre was built for HSBC and used as their regional headquarters. HSBC moved to a new-build regional headquarters at Charter Square on the other side of the city centre in 2019. The unoccupied building was subsequently purchased by RBH Properties for £18 million, who then carried out a £30 million refurbishment of the complex, rebranding it as Pennine Five or P5. The first phase of the refurbished project, codenamed Block Three, reopened for commercial use in June 2020.

Cornish Place is a listed building situated in the Neepsend area of the City of Sheffield. The building was formerly the factory of James Dixon & Sons, a Britannia metal, Sheffield plate and Cutlery manufacturer. In the late 1990s the disused building was cleaned and converted into apartments, it is regarded as the most impressive cutlery works that still stands in Sheffield and rivals the cotton mills of Lancashire and the West Riding in terms of architectural quality and heritage. The most impressive parts of the building are the east and west ranges which have Grade II* listed status while the rest of the works have the lower Grade II rating. The "Cornish" in the buildings name is thought to derive from the manufacture of Britannia metal which is made up of 93% tin which came from Cornwall.

35 Well Meadow Street is the site of a house, attached workshops, courtyard complex and a crucible furnace. It is located in the St Vincent's Quarter of the City of Sheffield in England, it is also part of the Well Meadow Conservation Area. The buildings and furnace are grade II* listed buildings because of their importance as part of Sheffield’s industrial heritage and it is regarded as, “One of the most significant of the city’s 19th century industrial monuments”. It has now been converted into residences.

The Globe Works are a former cutlery factory situated in the City of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England on Penistone Road in the suburb of Neepsend. The Works are a Grade II* Listed Building which in the late 1980s were renovated to provide modern office space. It is part of the Kelham Island Conservation Area.

The Kelham Island Tavern is a public house in Sheffield. It is the only pub to have become the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) National Pub of the Year two years running. The pub lies on Russell Street, in the Kelham Island area of the city. It was constructed in the 1830s as part of a terrace, and originally operated as "The Sawmaker". It was later renamed the "White Hart", and in the early 1990s became the "Kelham Island Tavern", but closed soon after. The derelict building was re-opened as the "Kelham Island Tavern" in 2002, specialising in real ales. By the following year, the local press mentioned it as one of five pubs in the area among the "best real ale pubs in Yorkshire". Following an inundation during the 2007 United Kingdom floods, it closed for a five-week refurbishment. It won the CAMRA pub of the year award for 2008, and took the title again the following year, becoming the first pub to win the title two years running. It has also won the Yorkshire Pub of the Year title in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009, and the Sheffield Pub of the Year award every year from 2004 to 2011 and later from 2013 to 2018.The pub has a small garden featuring palm trees, and is also a venue for traditional English folk music.

The Turner Museum of Glass is housed in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield, in England. It is in the Sir Robert Hadfield Building with the entrance from Portobello Street. It contains examples from ancient Egypt and Rome but mainly from major European and American glassworkers, with a particular focus on those from the 1920s to 1950s.It was founded in 1943 by Professor W. E. S. Turner of the University, who additionally was the senior author on many papers on glass technology. One of the exhibits is the wedding dress of his wife Helen Monro Turner (Helen Nairn, married 1 July 1943) which is made of glass fibre, as are the matching shoes. This has been selected as one of the items in the BBC's extended collection based on A History of the World in 100 Objects.

Sheffield City Centre (referred to locally as simply Town) is a district of the City of Sheffield and is covered partly by the City ward of the City of Sheffield. It includes the area that is within a radius of roughly 0.75 miles (1.2 km) of Sheffield Cathedral and is encircled by the Inner Ring Road, a circular route started in the late 1960s and completed in 2007. As well as the cathedral, buildings in the city centre include the Grade I listed Town Hall, the City Hall and the Winter Gardens. Several areas of the city centre have been designated as quarters. It is home to the city's major business, transport, leisure and cultural attractions. In recent years, the city centre has undergone massive regeneration with every section of the city centre seeing constant development. Projects include the development of new squares and public spaces; new residential and office buildings, including St. Pauls Tower, Velocity Living and Velocity Tower; the Heart of the City II and Moor shopping areas; redevelopment of existing buildings, such as the Crucible Theatre; better transport and shopping facilities; and new cultural attractions, such as museums and art galleries.
