Columbia Heights is a neighborhood in southeastern Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are the University of Kentucky to the south, Woodland Avenue to the west, Euclid Avenue to the north, and Marquis Avenue to the east.

Chevy Plaza and Chevy Chase Center was a proposed two-building, nine-story residential and commercial development in Lexington, Kentucky. It would have been located at East High Street and Euclid Avenue and at East High Street and South Ashland Avenue.The $25 million project, first proposed on March 19, 1984, would require the reconstruction of nearly two city blocks in the Chevy Chase district of the city, involving 12 separate properties. The development company, Progressive Companies, owned numerous properties in the district. The first nine-story structure, titled Chevy Plaza, would have included two or three floors of retail shops with residential condominiums for the remainder. It would have been located at the southwest corner of East High Street and Euclid Avenue where WDKY-TV now resides; at the time it was a KFC fast-food restaurant. The second tower would be called Chevy Chase Plaza and would have been located at the southwest corner of East High Street and South Ashland Avenue. It would feature retail shops on the ground floor and eight floors of residential condominiums. Both structures would have included a parking garage. It would be constructed in three phases, with construction beginning in late 1984 with the completion date coming in 1986. The development was unique in that it would require no public dollars or bond issues, however, it would require a zoning change for the location. The surrounding properties would have featured numerous streetscape enhancements, such as the inclusion of gaslights, new trees, canopies, and a fountain at Chevy Plaza.

Cliff Hagan Stadium (Officially named Shively Field at Cliff Hagan Stadium) was a baseball stadium located in Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Cliff Hagan Stadium or better known to Kentucky Wildcat baseball fans as "The Cliff" is on the southwest side of the university's campus, two blocks away from Kroger Field. Since its opening in 1969, the University of Kentucky Baseball called this place home for just under 50 years. The Wildcats then opened a $49 million baseball stadium called Kentucky Proud Park in 2019. Cliff Hagan Stadium had 7 coaches during its time and 15 All Americans. The stadium was renamed in 1993 in honor of Cliff Hagan, the Basketball Hall of Famer who had played at Kentucky during the 1950s under Adolph Rupp and returned to Kentucky as athletic director after his professional basketball playing days. It was extensively renovated in 2002. Following its final 2018 season, while construction was ongoing on its nearby replacement, it was used for UK baseball summer camps. In 2021, “The Cliff” has been an abandoned stadium for over 2 years and is not in use. In the wake of the Wildcats' surprising success in the 2006 season, which saw them win a regular-season Southeastern Conference title for the first time in over 30 years, coach John Cohen was signed to a five-year contract extension. A clause in the contract commits the university to either renovating or replacing the stadium. If construction on a new or renovated stadium does not start in 2008 or sooner, Cohen was free to walk away from the contract without a financial penalty. However, Cohen left the program at the end of the 2008 season for his alma mater Mississippi State, where he served as athletic director from 2016 to 2022. His assistant Gary Henderson was then given the head coaching job.

The E.J. Nutter Training Facility, also called the Nutter Center, is a college football training facility on the University of Kentucky campus built for practice and training of the Kentucky Wildcats football team.The facility was built to honor Ervin J. Nutter, a UK alumnus from Ohio, who contributed money to build the facility and was active in alumni affairs.

The William T. Young Library (colloquially 'Willy T.') is located on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, United States. It is named for William T. Young, a prominent local businessman, horse breeder, philanthropist and alumnus of the university, who began fundraising efforts with a donation of $5 million. The facility serves as a central library for the university's social sciences, humanities, and life sciences collections, and acts as a federal depository and a public library for the state of Kentucky. It holds the record among public universities in the nation for the largest book endowment.

Montclair is a neighborhood in southeastern Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Providence Road to the north, Montclair Drive to the south, Tates Creek Road to the east, and the University of Kentucky to the west.

The University of Kentucky (UK, UKY, or U of K) is a public land-grant research university in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 1865 by John Bryan Bowman as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Kentucky, the university is one of the state's two land-grant universities (the other being Kentucky State University). It is the institution with the highest enrollment in the state, with 32,710 students as of fall 2022.The institution comprises 16 colleges, a graduate school, 93 undergraduate programs, 99 master programs, 66 doctoral programs, and four professional programs. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity". According to the National Science Foundation, Kentucky spent $393 million on research and development in 2018, ranking it 63rd in the nation.The University of Kentucky has seven libraries on campus. The largest is the William T. Young Library, a federal depository, hosting subjects related to social sciences, humanities, and life sciences collections. Since 1997, the university has focused expenditures increasingly on research, following a compact formed by the Kentucky General Assembly. The directive mandated that the university become a Top 20 public research institution, in terms of an overall ranking, to be determined by the university itself, by 2020. Two alumni from the university have won Nobel Prizes.

Woodland Park is a neighborhood located immediately south of downtown Lexington, Kentucky, United States. It is composed of several small neighborhood associations. The neighborhood is alternatively named Aylesford and is sometimes referred to by locals as "Chevy Chase". However, Chevy Chase is actually a separate neighborhood located southeast of Woodland Park. The neighborhood's boundaries are Rose Street to the north, Main Street to the east, Euclid Avenue to the west, and Clay Avenue to the south.Woodland Park long ago was the property of Mr. Irwin, son-in-law of Henry Clay, and was the site of the Agricultural College when it was established as a branch of Kentucky University in 1865. Every year the Woodland Arts Festival brings artists all over central Kentucky to share their talents for purchase. There is also Ballet Under the Stars which occurs near the gazebo.

The Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History, also known as The Nunn Center, the University of Kentucky, is one of the premier oral history centers in the world, known for a comprehensive oral history archival collection, ongoing interviewing projects, as well as being an innovator with regard to enhancing access to archived oral history interviews. The Nunn Center maintains a collection of over 14,000 oral history interviews made up of over 600 projects with an emphasis on: 20th century history; Appalachia; agriculture; African American history; the history of education; immigration; politics, and public policy; LGBTQ+; athletics; the arts; Kentucky writers; quilters and quilting; gender; diversity; the Civil Rights Movement; veterans' experiences; the history of the University of Kentucky; the Peace Corps; the history of healthcare; and industries including the coal, equine, and bourbon industries. Although the Nunn Center began focusing on Kentucky history exclusively, it has expanded to also document oral history projects with national and international significance. The Nunn Center for Oral History is part of the University of Kentucky Libraries Special Collections Research Center.

The Pope Villa in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, was designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe in 1811 for Senator John Pope. It is one of only three extant Latrobe residences in the United States. As one of Latrobe's most avant-garde designs, the Pope Villa has national significance for its architect and unique design.Purchased in 1987 by the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation, the Pope Villa underwent restoration in the 2010s to reflect its 1811 original construction appearance. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is a public community college in Lexington, Kentucky. It is one of sixteen two-year, open admission colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). It was formed from the consolidation of two separate institutions: Lexington Community College and Central Kentucky Technical College. Lexington Community College was the last remaining college in the University of Kentucky Community College System until a vote by the trustees transferred governance to KCTCS in 2004. Prior to 1984, the college was named Lexington Technical Institute. Central Kentucky Technical College was part of the Workforce Development Cabinet of the Kentucky State Government until the creation of KCTCS in 1997. KCTCS was formed in 1997 by the state legislature through House Bill 1 which combined the technical colleges of the Workforce Development Cabinet and the community colleges previously with the University of Kentucky. BCTC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). BCTC has a large international student base with students attending from Europe, Jordan, Turkey, and many other nations. As of Fall 2009, 11,500 students were enrolled at BCTC. As of 2019, tuition in-state is $182 (per credit hour) USD, Out-of-state $356 (per credit hour) USD (2019–20)

The University of Kentucky Art Museum is an art museum in Lexington, Kentucky, located in the Singletary Center for the Arts building. The collection includes European and American artwork ranging from Old Masters to contemporary, as well as a selection of Non-Western objects. Featured artists include Alexander Calder, Agostino Carracci, Jean Dubuffet, Julien Dupré, Sam Gilliam, Louise Nevelson, and Gilbert Stuart, among others.The Art Museum is located on the University of Kentucky campus in the Singletary Center for the Arts, Rose Street and Euclid Avenue.
