Flatlands Dutch Reformed Church, also known as Flatlands Reformed Church, is a historic Dutch Reformed church at Kings Highway and East 40th Street in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The complex consists of the church, administration building, and cemetery. The congregation was founded in 1654. The church was built in 1848 in the Greek Revival style. The Greek Revival administration building was constructed in 1904; it was enlarged in the 1920s. The cemetery contains about 1,500 burials dating to 1660.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Stoothoff–Baxter–Kouwenhaven House is a historic home located in Flatlands, Brooklyn, New York City. It is currently located at 1640 East 48th Street in Brooklyn.

Hebrew Language Academy Charter School is a public K-8 Charter school in Brooklyn, New York. HLA is an intentionally diverse charter school which teaches the Modern Hebrew language. Like all public schools HLA does not provide religious instruction and will neither encourage nor prohibit religious devotion. The enrollment is 35% black, 6% Hispanic, 55% white, and 4% other.

The Hendrick I. Lott House is a historic home located at 1940 East 36th Street between Fillmore Avenue and Avenue S, in Marine Park, Brooklyn, New York City. Lott House, one of the oldest Dutch Colonial houses in Brooklyn, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a New York City designated landmark. The house remains structurally sound and virtually unchanged from the time Hendrick Lott constructed it in 1800, incorporating a section of the 1720 original homestead built by his grandfather, Johannes Lott.

Yeshiva Derech HaTorah is an Orthodox Jewish elementary school and high school for boys in Brooklyn, New York. Yeshiva Derech HaTorah is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York.The school is dedicated to the teachings of Orthodox Judaism, and has a fully approved New York State general studies curriculum as well. It enrolls students from K through 12th grade. The nursery program was discontinued in 2015. As of the 2015-16 school year, the school had an enrollment of 227 students in kindergarten through twelfth grades according to the New York State Department of Education.In September 2006, Yeshiva Derech HaTorah High School opened.The school's motto is "Excellence in Education, in your Neighborhood".

Joost Van Nuyse House, also known as the Ditmas Coe House, is a historic home located in Flatlands, Brooklyn, New York, New York. The original section was built in 1744 and enlarged between 1793 and 1806. It was moved to its present site in 1925. It is a 1+1⁄2-story frame house with a steeply pitched flared roof. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.A report in 2020 added that this structure, now a private residence, is an "example of the Dutch Colonial farmhouse, and it is sometimes called the Ditmas Coe House or the Van Nuyse-Coe house, named after both the man suspected to have built the dwelling, Joost Van Nuyse, and Ditmas Coe, who rented the home in 1852".

New York Community Hospital is a hospital in Brooklyn, NY that was founded in 1929 by two brothers, both doctors. The hospital has been renamed several times before becoming part of New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1997. They more recently partnered with Maimonides Medical Center. The hospital, which was described as "One Address, Many Hospitals" due to changing names, offers Kosher meals to patients.

James Madison High School is a public high school in the Madison subsection of Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. It serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is in Region 6 of the New York City Department of Education. Established in 1925, the school has many famous graduates, among them the late United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, two sitting U.S. senators, Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), former Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN), and other famous authors, musicians and athletes. It is one of only four secondary schools worldwide that has educated five or more Nobel laureates.

The Flatbush Avenue–Brooklyn College station (announced as Brooklyn College–Flatbush Avenue station on trains) is the southern terminal station on the IRT Nostrand Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. It is located at the intersection of Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues in Flatbush, Brooklyn, locally called "The Junction". The station is served by the 2 train at all times and the 5 train on weekdays. It is also the closest subway station to Brooklyn College and Midwood High School. The Flatbush Avenue station was built along with the Nostrand Avenue Line as part of the Dual Contracts. The station opened on August 23, 1920, along with the rest of the line. Various proposals to extend the line past Flatbush Avenue were considered throughout the 20th century, but none were carried out. The Flatbush Avenue–Brooklyn College station contains two side platforms and two tracks; the platforms are connected to each other at the southern end. It is the only such terminal station in the subway system, creating an inefficient design in which passengers must know which track a train is departing from before going to the platform. The platforms contain exits to the intersection of Nostrand and Flatbush Avenues, with a secondary exit to Avenue H. The station contains an elevator, which makes it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
