Madison-Eastend is a neighborhood in the heart of East Baltimore, Maryland. Madison-Eastend occupies 66.7 acres of land north of Patterson Park and south of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. The neighborhood is bounded by the neighborhoods of Ellwood Park and McElderry Park to the south, Milton-Montford to the west, Biddle Street to the north, and Orangeville to the east. The swath of land between Johns Hopkins Hospital and Frank C Bocek Park, which includes Madison-Eastend, is often referred to as the "Down the Hill" neighborhood by local residents.

East Monument Historic District (also known as B-5162) or Little Bohemia, is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland. It is a large residential area with a commercial strip along East Monument Street. It comprises approximately 88 whole and partial blocks. The residential area is composed primarily of rowhouses that were developed, beginning in the 1870s, as housing for Baltimore's growing Bohemian (Czech) immigrant community. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries the neighborhood was the heart of the Bohemian community in Baltimore. The Bohemian National Parish of the Roman Catholic Church, St. Wenceslaus, is located in the neighborhood. The historic district includes all of McElderry Park and Milton-Montford, most of Middle East and Madison-Eastend, and parts of Ellwood Park.

L. Greif and Bro., Inc. Manufactory is a historic factory building located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a three-story brick and steel industrial building constructed about 1914–15. It features an expanse of multi-light steel windows, a metal cornice, and sawtooth monitors. It encompasses almost an entire city block and over 60,000 square feet (5,600 m2) of interior space. It served as a clothing factory for L. Greif & Bro., Inc., makers of the men's clothing brand, 'Griffin,' and for a time the country's second-largest men's clothing company. The company was sold to a national conglomerate in 1957.L. Grief and Bro., Inc. Manufactory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Middle East is a neighborhood in the heart of East Baltimore, Maryland. It is the site of a conflict between residents and the city's plans for creating a biotech park to serve nearby Johns Hopkins Medical Center. The neighborhood has suffered from extensive urban decay and housing abandonment, increased crime, and the effects of the Baltimore riot of 1968. Its residents are mainly lower income African Americans; the neighborhood was a filming location for the Baltimore-based HBO drama The Wire. Middle East is also noteworthy as being a location for the filming of scenes of the television series Homicide: Life on the Street and the 1991 film Homicide (no relation to the TV series) featuring Joe Mantegna. The swath of land between Johns Hopkins Hospital and Frank C. Bocek Park, which includes much of Middle East, is often referred to as the "Down the Hill" neighborhood by local residents.

School No. 27 (Commodore John Rodgers Elementary School) is a historic elementary school located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was built and opened in 1913. It is a freestanding brick building that rises 3+1⁄2–4 levels from a low granite base to its essentially flat roof and parapet. Ellwood Park is a neighborhood in the eastern part of Baltimore, Maryland. It is named for a small public park with a playground between Jefferson and Orleans Streets. The neighborhood extends from Linwood Avenue and Haven Street, between Monument Street and Fayette Street. It is contained within the 21205 and 21224 zip code. Architecturally, Ellwood Park is made up of rowhouses constructed in the early 20th century. Most have front porches and the white marble steps. It is a community of mostly middle class to low-income residents. Neighborhood groups include the Ellwood Park Improvement Association and Family of Ellwood Park Community Association.
