The Anderson Ferry is a ferry across the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Ohio and Constance, Kentucky. It has been in continuous operation since 1817. It was originated by George W Anderson the founder of the business, sold to the Kottmyer family then known as the Kotmeyer ferry and was later sold back to the Anderson family in 1986. The ferry was often used in the 19th century by Kentucky farmers bringing their product to market in Cincinnati. It is the lone survivor of dozens of ferries that once served the Cincinnati area. The ferry is located about 8 miles (13 km) west of Downtown Cincinnati.

Constance is an unincorporated community in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. Constance is located on the Ohio River and Kentucky Route 8, 5.2 miles (8.4 km) north of Florence.A post office called Constance was established in 1855, and remained in operation until November 1997. The ZIP Code for Constance was 41009, which has since been retired. It is unknown why the name "Constance" was applied to this community.The Henry and Agnes Rolsen House and the south end of the Anderson Ferry, which are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are located in Constance.

The Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery is a Roman Catholic congregation of women. whose motherhouse, St. Walburg Monastery, is located at Villa Madonna, in Villa Hills, Kentucky. It was founded in 1859 by three sisters of the Benedictine congregation of Mount St. Benedict Monastery in Erie, Pennsylvania, who came to Covington to teach the German-speaking children of St. Joseph's parish. They became an independent congregation in 1867. Villa Madonna Academy, a private, Roman Catholic K-12 school is an integral part of the sisters' ministry in Kentucky. Besides operating the Academy, the sisters taught in parish schools and staffed St. John's Orphanage.
