Church of Our Lady (Aarhus)

Our Lady's Priory, Aarhus (Danish: Vor Frue Kloster) was an early Dominican foundation just outside the original walls of Aarhus, Denmark. The buildings are part of the Church of Our Lady (Vor Frue Kirke) complex, now part of the inner city of Aarhus, but they have been repurposed.

Mønsted's House (Danish: Mønsteds Gård) is a house and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The house was built in 1810 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 24 March 1950. The building is situated in the historic Indre by neighborhood on Vestergade across from the Church of Our Lady. The reason for the listing was partly the historical significance and importance of the building and the impact of its former inhabitants.

Klostergade (lit.: Priory-street) is a street in Aarhus which runs east from Grønnegade to Studsgade, intersecting a number of streets. Klostergade is an old street, situated in the Vesterbro neighborhood and its eastern section enters the smaller Latin Quarter. Klostergade is home to two listed buildings and the historic Our Lady's Priory. Klotergade is a typical medieval street; narrow and curvy. Many small shops, cafés and restaurants are situated here and the nearby square Klostertorv is popular with recreational activities and an important event venue.

Elvirasminde (Lit. Elvira's Memory) or Chokoladefabrikken (English: The Chocolate Factory) is a building complex and former factory in Aarhus, Denmark. Elvirasminde was built in 1912 by designs from the architect Christian Frühstück Nielsen. The factory was one of the many industrial enterprises that were established in the city in the early 20th century and the buildings represent the industrial architecture of the time. It is situated on Klostergade in the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood and today houses small upstarts and a number of creative businesses such as architect companies.The buildings are named after the chocolate manufacturer Elvirasminde which built and was based in the buildings until the 1960s. The factory was in turn named after Elvira, the late wife of the founder.

Business- and Agricultural Bank of Jutland (Danish: Jydsk Handels- og Landbrugsbank) is a listed building and a former Danish bank in Aarhus.

Immervad, previously Emmervad, is a pedestrian street in Aarhus, Denmark, which runs north to south from Lille Torv to Åboulevarden and Frederiksgade. The alley Sankt Clemens Stræde leads to Immervad from the east. The street is situated in the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood and has existed as a road or street since the Viking Age when it was used as the eastern ford to cross the Aarhus River. Immervad is fairly short at just 110 meters long but it is one of the streets with the most foot traffic in Aarhus. At the southern section of the street is the bridge of Frederiksbroen, the first bridge built to cross the river in the city.Immervad is home to Magasin du Nord, one of the largest department stores in Aarhus, and runs next to the recreational space of Vadestedet (The Ford) on the street of Åboulevarden which runs perpendicular to the southern end of Immervad.

Aarhus Art Academy (Danish: Århus Kunstakademi) is an art school in Aarhus, Denmark. The school resides in a listed building on Vestergade 29 in the old medieval inner city, comprised by the neighborhood of Indre By. The building was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 3 December 1924. The school offers a 4-year arts programme and a number of courses in sculpting, painting, design, ceramics, photo and webdesign.

Badstuegade 1H is a house and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The house was built in 1809 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 7 October 1970. The house is situated in the historic and central Latin Quarter neighbourhood on Badstuegade by Pustervig square.

Frederiksgade (lit. "Frederik's Street") is a street in the Indre By district in Aarhus, Denmark which runs north to south from Åboulevarden to Frederiks Allé. Frederiksgade is a major thoroughfare for pedestrians and cyclists and it connects Immervad to ARoS Aarhus Art Museum and the City Hall and Concert Hall parks. The street is fairly narrow and the architecture is primarily late 19th century to early 20th century.

Rosensgade 38 is a house and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The house was built in approximately 1600 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 21 March 2012. The building is situated in the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood on Pustervig square in the city center.

Vestergade (lit: Westward-street) is a street in Aarhus, Denmark, which runs east to west from the central square of Store Torv to the city park of Åparken at Carl Blochs Gade, intersecting the main streets of Grønnegade and Vester Allé along its course. Vestergade begins in the Indre By neighborhood and ends in neighborhood of Vesterbro, close to CeresByen. Vestergade has some of the best preserved 18th-century merchant estates in Aarhus and a history of creativity and artistic expression. Vestergade was the original road leading to Viborg in the old Viking Age settlement. The buildings along Vestergade were the first outside the western defensive ramparts and formed the first civilian settlement. Originally, the street ended at Grønnegade but has since been lengthened as the city grew around it. Vestergade represents most periods in the history of Aarhus.

Aarhus C is a postal district in the city of Aarhus, Denmark, consisting of the Inner city, Vesterbro, University of Aarhus, Frederiksbjerg, Langenæs and Aarhus Ø, with postal code 8000. The district is commonly defined as the area enclosed by the ring road of Ring 1 (also referred to as Ringgaden), and in the west by the Aarhus Harbour and shoreline. Aarhus C is an abbreviation of Aarhus Centrum, which means "the centre of Aarhus" and is home to around 80000 citizens.
