Norra Tornen

Solnabron (Swedish: "The Solna Bridge") was a viaduct in Sweden. Spanning the Norra Station area and the Norra länken motorway, it linked the municipalities of Stockholm and Solna. Solnabron was torn down in 2011 as part of large-scale redevelopment of the area into Hagastaden. For a couple of years, it was replaced by a temporary bridge made largely from wood, before finally being replaced with a permanent overbuild. The stretch is now simply designated as Solnavägen ("Solna Road") instead of Solnabron.When inaugurated in 1942, the bridge opened an important new connection between the two municipalities, just as the hospital and scientific institutions were being collocated with what is today the Karolinska University Hospital, to the north of the bridge.The viaduct was 230 metres long and 27 metres wide; the roadway was made of a reinforced concrete floor resting on welded iron girders passing over columns pinned at both ends.During the negotiations preceding the construction, the Swedish State Railway, owner of the rail yard under the bridge, urged that the columns be movable, which would allow the yard to maintain the option of rearranging tracks, as needed. While the bridge was indeed built with movable pillars, the option was never exercised.

Norra länken (The northern link) is a motorway in Stockholm, Sweden, between the port of Värtahamnen and Karlberg, where it connects to Essingeleden. The road is part of the European route E20 and the incomplete Stockholm Ring Road.Norra länken is 5 kilometers (3 mi) in length, 4 km (2.5 mi) of which are in tunnels. The part between Karlberg and Norrtull was opened in 1991, and the tunnel between Norrtull and Värtan was opened in 2014. The other parts of the ring road are the highly congested Essingeleden in the west, opened in 1966, Södra länken in the south, opened in 2004, and Österleden in the east, where (as of September 2017) plans have been canceled.

Atlantis Studios is a recording studio at Karlbergsvägen 57 in Stockholm. Founded in 1959 as Metronome Studios, it is the location of early recordings of the members of ABBA prior to the formation of the group, as well as the majority of the group's hit singles and recordings by The Cardigans, Roxette, Opeth, The Hives, and others.

Vasastaden, or colloquially Vasastan, (Swedish for "Vasa town") is a 3.00 km² large city district in central Stockholm, Sweden, being a part of Norrmalm borough. The major parks in Vasastaden are Vasaparken and Observatorielunden near the centre and Vanadislunden and Bellevueparken in the north.

Stockholm North Station (Swedish: Stockholms norra station) or Stockholm N has been the name of two different railway stations in Stockholm, Sweden. Both have been used mostly for freight trains and not for passenger traffic. The first North Station was opened on 20 September 1866, first used as a temporary main station for trains on the northern lines. It was situated at Norra Bantorget ("North Line Square"), a square which got its name from this. All passenger operations moved to the central station in 1871. In 1925 the station was moved to Norrtull, where a new North Station was built at the railway line Värtabanan. This station was in use until the 1990s. Parts of the station are now being replaced with new buildings for apartments. The main freight train station in north Stockholm is now Tomteboda.

Filadelfiakyrkan ('the Philadelphia Church') is a Pentecostal church building at Rörstrandsgatan 7 in Stockholm, Sweden; it was dedicated on 2 November 1930. The building is owned by the Filadelfia Stockholm congregation, the largest congregation in the Swedish Pentecostal movement with about 5,400 members as of 2015. It is also the largest Pentecostal congregation in Europe.The Stockholm City Museum has listed the building as having a particularly high historical and cultural value.The church building is next to Rörstrand Castle, where Kaggeholm Folk High School has been located since 2019. In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the church building was completely remodeled for over 100 million SEK.

The Karolinska University Hospital (Swedish: Karolinska universitetssjukhuset) is a teaching hospital affiliated with Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, with two major sites in the municipalities of Solna and Huddinge. The hospital network is the second largest in Sweden, after Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The present day Karolinska University Hospital is the result of a 2004 merger between the former Huddinge University Hospital (Huddinge universitetssjukhus) in Huddinge, south of Stockholm, and the Karolinska Hospital (Karolinska sjukhuset) in Solna, north of Stockholm. The new hospital has about 15,000 employees and 1,340 patient beds. The Karolinska University Hospital is closely affiliated with the Karolinska Institutet. It incorporates the Astrid Lindgren Children's hospital in Solna and the Children's Hospital in Huddinge. The Karolinska University Hospital in Solna is being replaced by the New Karolinska Solna University Hospital.

Radiumhemmet is a non-surgical cancer treatment and radiotherapy research institution in Solna, Sweden. Since 1938, it has been a division of what is now the Karolinska University Hospital. It was founded in 1910 in central Stockholm as the first oncological clinic in Sweden, succeeding a radium research and treatment institution at the Serafimerlasarett founded in 1906, and played a major role in the development of radiotherapy, especially in gynaecological cancers.

Sankt Eriksplan metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is entirely underground, and is located in the district of Vasastaden, which is in the borough of Norrmalm in central Stockholm. The station has a single island platform, some 8 metres (26 ft) below street level, and is accessed via a pair of ticket halls. One ticket hall is under Sankt Eriksplan itself, and the other under the intersection of Torsgatan and Sankt Eriksgatan. Both ticket halls are linked to the surface by entrance pavilions containing stairs and lifts. The distance to Slussen is 4.1 km (2.5 mi).The station was inaugurated on 26 October 1952 as a part of the section of line between Hötorget and Vällingby.

The Karolinska Institute (KI; Swedish: Karolinska Institutet; sometimes known as the (Royal) Caroline Institute in English) is a research-led medical university in Solna within the Stockholm urban area of Sweden. The Karolinska Institute is consistently ranked amongst the world's best medical schools, ranking 6th worldwide for medicine in 2021. The Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The assembly consists of fifty professors from various medical disciplines at the university. The current rector of Karolinska Institute is Ole Petter Ottersen, who took office in August 2017.The Karolinska Institute was founded in 1810 on the island of Kungsholmen on the west side of Stockholm; the main campus was relocated decades later to Solna, just outside Stockholm. A second campus was established more recently in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, south of Stockholm.The Karolinska Institute is Sweden's third oldest medical school, after Uppsala University (founded in 1477) and Lund University (founded in 1666). It is one of Sweden's largest centres for training and research, accounting for 30% of the medical training and more than 40% of all academic medical and life science research conducted in Sweden.The Karolinska University Hospital, located in Solna and Huddinge, is associated with the university as a research and teaching hospital. Together they form an academic health science centre. While most of the medical programs are taught in Swedish, the bulk of the PhD projects are conducted in English. The institute's name is a reference to the Caroleans.
