Sligo is an unincorporated community in Currituck County, North Carolina, United States. It is south of Moyock on Route 168. It was reportedly named after a minister, Edward Dromgoole, in 1783, and who missed his hometown of Sligo, Ireland.

It was built about 1797, and consists of two separate two-story, five bay by two bay, identical Federal style structures, joined by a transverse hall. Each house has a hall-and-parlor plan, exterior end chimneys, and they are connected by a one-story, gable roofed, connecting hall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.Col. Henry Shaw and his wife are buried at the property, which is currently owned by local historian E. Ray Ethrridge.

Currituck County Courthouse and Jail is a historic courthouse and jail located at Currituck, Currituck County, North Carolina. The original two-story section of the courthouse was built about 1842, enlarged in 1897, and a rear wing was added in 1952. The 1897 remodeling added a second floor to the original one-story wings and Classical Revival style design elements. The jail was built about 1857, and is a two-story, rectangular building with 32 inch thick brick walls. It is one of the oldest extant jails in North Carolina. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
