The Alexandria Township School District is a comprehensive community public school district consisting of two school facilities serving students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Alexandria Township, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 461 students and 49.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.4:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend Delaware Valley Regional High School, together with students from Frenchtown, Holland Township, Kingwood Township and Milford. The school is part of the Delaware Valley Regional High School District. Mount Pleasant is an unincorporated community located along County Route 519 on the border of Alexandria Township and Holland Township, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The Mount Pleasant Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Thatcher House is a historic brick house located in Kingwood Township, about two miles from Frenchtown, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It is named after Jeremiah Thatcher (d. 1790), a local farmer. Built in 1765, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 4, 2020, for its significance in architecture. It features patterned brickwork with complex diamonds.

Alexandria Township is a township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 4,809, a decrease of 129 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 4,938, which in turn reflected an increase of 240 (+5.1%) from the 4,698 counted in the 2000 census.Alexandria was formed by Royal charter on March 5, 1765, from portions of Bethlehem Township, and was incorporated as one of New Jersey's initial 104 townships by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798. Portions of the township were taken to form Frenchtown (April 4, 1867), Holland Township (April 13, 1874, restored to Alexandria on March 4, 1878, and recreated on March 11, 1879) and Milford (April 15, 1911). The township was named for James Alexander, a surveyor who served as New Jersey Attorney General and who had acquired 10,000 acres (4,000 ha) of land in the area in 1744.

The Old Stone Church is a historic sandstone church located in Kingwood Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was built in 1837 and is now owned by the First Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hunterdon County. The church, described using its historic name, Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Kingwood, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 2018 for its significance in architecture. The earlier church located here was a smaller stone building built in 1755, called the Old Stone Meetinghouse. The stones from this church were probably used to build the current one. The Kingwood congregation was established in 1728 and grew during the First Great Awakening, with Gilbert Tennent and George Whitefield preaching here in 1739.The Oak Summit School, located next to the church, is a one-room schoolhouse that was established in 1849 and used until 1953. The building is not part of this NRHP listing.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church is a historic church in Alexandria Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey near Pittstown and is one of the oldest churches in the county. The present church replaced a log or frame church that was built as early as the 1720s. That church was replaced in 1768 by the present church's stone walls, though the church was not completed until after the American Revolution, c. 1790. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 21, 1977, for its significance in architecture and religion. The church was featured as a set in Sarah Jessica Parker's movie debut, the 1983 film Somewhere Tomorrow.

Frenchtown is a borough in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Frenchtown is located along the banks of the Delaware River on the Hunterdon Plateau, 32 miles (51 km) northwest of the state capital of Trenton. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 1,370, a decrease of three people (−0.2%) from the 2010 census count of 1,373, which in turn reflected a decline of 115 (−7.7%) from the 1,488 counted in the 2000 census.

Harihokake Creek (once known as Cakceahocake Creek) is a 7.0-mile-long (11.3 km) tributary of the Delaware River in Hunterdon County, New Jersey in the United States. The headwaters of the Harihokake begin at from springs in the Musconetcong Mountains in Alexandria Township. On the way south it passes through Mount Pleasant before joining the Delaware just above Nishisakawick Creek in Frenchtown.

Mount Salem Vineyards is a boutique winery in the Pittstown section of Alexandria Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Formerly a produce, grain, and dairy farm, the vineyard was first planted in 2005, and opened to the public in 2010. Peter Leiter, the proprietor of Mount Salem, founded the Appalachian Highlands Vinifera Society, whose mission is to enhance the quality of wine grape growing and winemaking in Northern New Jersey. Mount Salem has 7 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 1,000 cases of wine per year. The winery is located at over 600 feet above sea level on Mount Salem, the mountain for which the farm is named.

Frenchtown Solar is a group of three photvoltaic arrays, or solar farms, in Kingwood Township, about 3 miles east of namesake Frenchtown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Two arrays are located just outside the village of Baptistown on New Jersey Route 12 The third and largest is to the south, off County Route 519.The power station was developed in conjunction with Con Ed Development. It interconnects to Jersey Central Power and Light, which in turn in is part of the PJM Interconnection. Flemington Solar is a similar project located in adjacent Raritan Township.
