Lake District or Edmonton North is a residential area in the northeast portion of the City of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1979 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Edmonton North Area Structure Plan, which guides the overall development of the area.

It is one of 87 districts mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. It was most recently contested in the general election of 2019. The riding is located in north central Edmonton. It was created in the 2004 boundary redistribution out of a small part of Edmonton-Manning and most of Edmonton-Glengarry. The riding is named after Laurence Decore, former Leader of the Opposition and Mayor of Edmonton. Neighborhoods in this riding include: Kildare, Killarney, Northmount, Evansdale, Belle Rive, Mayliewan, Delwood, Glengarry & Balwin. The riding has been held by representatives of the Progressive Conservative, Liberal, and New Democratic parties since it was created. The current representative is New Democratic Party MLA Chris Nielsen, who was first elected in the 2015 general election.

The district is one of 87 mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. The district was created in 1997 boundary redistribution when Edmonton-Roper merged with the north half of Edmonton-Mayfield. The riding has swung between Liberal and Progressive Conservative control since it was created, before returning an NDP MLA in 2015. The 2004 election was very controversial, with near even support for both the Liberal and Progressive Conservative candidates. The outcome was decided in the third recount, which resulted in Thomas Lukaszuk winning the riding by 3 votes. Neighborhoods in this riding include: Baturyn, Caernarvon, Carlisle, Beaumaris, Lorelei, Dunluce, Klarvatten, Rapperswill, Chambery & Elsinore. The riding was last contested in the 2019 election, during which the NDP incumbent, Nicole Goehring, defeated Ed Ammar of the United Conservative Party by 2,017 votes.

M.E. LaZerte High School is a high school in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in the north eastern Kilkenny neighbourhood. It is part of Edmonton Public Schools. The school's team name is the Voyageurs, which is also what they call the student body.

North Town Centre (formerly called North Town Mall) is a shopping centre located in the northern part of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.The mall underwent redevelopment completed in the summer of 2009 that included 270,000 sq ft (25,000 m2) of retail and office space and more than 900 parking stalls. Major tenants include Bed Bath & Beyond, Indigo Books and Music, London Drugs and T & T Supermarket. PetSmart opened in 2014.

The mall opened in 1972 and has been expanded and renovated since. Londonderry Mall has many notable stores, including a full service Shoppers Drug Mart, Hudson's Bay, Winners, Dollar Tree, Dollarama, Miniso, Fabricland, Fit 4 Less, Simons department store, Flight Centre and H&M. The mall recently went under a complete renovation which completed in August 2017.

Griesbach is a developing community in the Castledowns area in northwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This mainly residential neighbourhood was formerly the site of a military base, part of CFB Griesbach. The land was transferred to Canada Lands Company to redevelop it. It remains a project of the Crown corporation.The neighbourhood is bounded on the north by 153 Avenue, on the east by 97 Street, on the south by 137 Avenue, and on the west by Castle Downs Road. Travel north along 97 Street provides access to the current CFB Edmonton. Travel south along 97 Street provides access to the downtown core and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. The area is expected to be accessible by the Metro Line LRT in the future. Shopping and services are available just east of the neighbourhood at Northgate Centre and North Town Centre. Both malls are located at the intersection of 137 Avenue and 97 Street at Griesbach's south east corner. Shoppers Drug Mart opened in November 2016 in Griesbach Village, located in the southeast corner of the neighbourhood. The community is represented by the Griesbach Community League.
