D.L. MacDonald Yard is the maintenance facility, garage, and operations centre for the Capital and Metro light rail transit lines operated by Edmonton Transit Service, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located to the northeast in the Kennedale industrial area, at 13310 - 50A Street, the facility opened in December 1983 at a cost of $28.2 million.Expansions to the facility to accommodate additional light rail vehicles were completed as part of the South LRT Extension Project. Portions of the expansion were completed in 2008 with the remainder completed in early 2009.

Londonderry Mall is a shopping centre located in north Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It contains over 150 stores and services with nine major tenants. The mall opened in 1972 and has been expanded and renovated since. Londonderry Mall has many notable stores, including a full service Shoppers Drug Mart, Hudson's Bay, Winners, Dollar Tree, Dollarama, Miniso, Fabricland, Fit 4 Less, Simons department store, Flight Centre and H&M. On December 29, 2014, 53-year-old Phu Lam went on a killing spree in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He shot to death eight people, including two children, most of whom were his relatives. He then committed suicide at a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant, VN Express, in which he had a professional interest that allowed after hours access; the restaurant was located in Fort Saskatchewan, just Northeast of Edmonton.

Edmonton-Decore is a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. It is one of 87 districts mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. It was most recently contested in the general election of 2019. The riding is located in north central Edmonton. It was created in the 2004 boundary redistribution out of a small part of Edmonton-Manning and most of Edmonton-Glengarry. The riding is named after Laurence Decore, former Leader of the Opposition and Mayor of Edmonton. Neighborhoods in this riding include: Kildare, Killarney, Northmount, Evansdale, Belle Rive, Mayliewan, Delwood, Glengarry & Balwin. The riding has been held by representatives of the Progressive Conservative, Liberal, and New Democratic parties since it was created. The current representative is New Democratic Party MLA Chris Nielsen, who was first elected in the 2015 general election.
