Liebfrauenkirche (lit. 'Dear Lady Church') is a Catholic church in Zurich, Switzerland. Due to the influx of Catholic immigration in Zurich in the 19th century, it was built from 1893 to 1894 under the Romanesque Revival architecture designs of the architect August Hardegger. Its patron saint is Mary, Mother of God.

Oberstrass is a quarter in the district 6 in Zürich. It was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zürich in 1893. The quarter has a population of 9,494 distributed on an area of 2.64 km2 (1.02 sq mi). The Rigiblick funicular can be found in Oberstrass as one of two funiculars within the city of Zürich. Built in 1901 as Rigiblick restaurant, the former Gastsaal was re-opened as Theater Rigiblick in 1984.

Seebach is a quarter in the district 11 of Zürich, located in the Glatt Valley (German: Glattal). It was formerly a municipality in its own right, but was incorporated into the city of Zürich in 1934. In contrast to the innercity neighborhoods, Zürich-Seebach is known as an area with a vast number of immigrants, in particular from the Balkans, Subsaharan Africa and the Indian subcontinent. The area is also known for some social housing projects. Areas with similar ethnic compositions exist in suburban areas around Zürich as well, like Schlieren or Dietikon where immigrants form the majority of the population. The quarter has a population of 19,879 distributed on an area of 4.72 km2 (1.82 sq mi).

The Drosos Foundation (German: Drosos Stiftung) is a non-profit, charitable organization based in Zurich, Switzerland. Established in late 2003 with capital from a private endowment, the foundation was fully active by early 2005. The foundation is involved with more than 100 projects as of 2015, which work to fight poverty, promote health, increase access to education and creative activities for youth, and protect the environment. The foundation also has offices in Cairo, and Casablanca.

The Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) is a center of teaching and research at the ETH Zurich, focusing on governance and leadership issues in the public sector.Established in 2016, the center operates within the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zurich. ETH Library is the largest public scientific and technical library in Switzerland. As the central university library and knowledge hub of ETH Zurich, the ETH Library ensures the provision of scientific and technical information. The BWI Center for Industrial Management at the ETH Zürich (formerly Institute of Industrial Engineering and Management of the ETH) conducts enterprise research as well as education and services for the ETH and commercial enterprises.

The Laboratory for Energy Conversion (LEC) formerly known as Turbomachinery Laboratory (LSM) was founded in 1892 by Aurel Boleslav Stodola. As part of the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH). The laboratory has been headed by some of the most prominent mechanical engineers in the history of turbomachinery.

The University of Geneva (French: Université de Genève) is a public research university located in Geneva, Switzerland. The Polybahn, also known as the UBS Polybahn, is a funicular railway in the city of Zürich, Switzerland. The line links the Central square with the terrace by the main building of ETH Zürich, which was formerly called Eidgenössisches Polytechnikum, and from which the railway derives its name. Previous names for the line include the SBG Polybahn and the Zürichbergbahn. The line is owned by the banking group UBS AG, and operated on their behalf by the municipal transport operator Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich.The Polybahn is one of two funiculars within the city of Zürich, the other being the Rigiblick funicular in the city's northern suburbs. Additionally, the city's Dolderbahn rack railway was originally a funicular, until its conversion to rack working in the 1970s.

The Funicular Rigiblick (German: Seilbahn Rigiblick) is a funicular railway in the north-east of the city of Zürich, Switzerland. It links a lower station served by Zürich tram routes 9 and 10 and Zürich trolleybus route 33, with an upper station at Rigiblick on the Zürichberg hill.The Rigiblick funicular is one of two funiculars within the city of Zürich, the other being the Polybahn funicular in the city centre.
