Riversley Park is an urban park in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England, which covers an area of 13 acres (5.3 hectares) and is located immediately to the south of the town centre, with the River Anker flowing through it.

Nuneaton Griff F.C. are a football club based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. They joined the Midland Football Combination Premier Division in 1999, and have been competing in the Midland League Division One since it was formed in 2014. Griff have won the Midland Combination Premier Division on two occasions, including a League and cup treble in 2000–2001, earning them the Midland Combination Team of the Year Award, two Coventry Alliance Premier Division titles, one Birmingham Combination Premier Cup in 2000–2001, two Coventry Alliance Premier Cups, five Coventry Telegraph Cups, two Chapel End Nursing Cups, along with the Birmingham County Junior Cup in 1998–1999. The club play their home games at the Pingles Stadium, which holds up to 6,000 spectators 232 seated. Griff's home kit is blue and white vertical striped shirts, with blue shorts, accompanied by blue socks. This combination has been used since the club formed in 1972.

Chilvers Coton is an area of the town of Nuneaton in Warwickshire, England, around one mile south of the town centre.Chilvers Coton was historically a village and civil parish in its own right and was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as “Celverdestoche,”. The author Mary Ann Evans (better known as George Eliot) lived at Griff House in the parish between 1820 and 1841. Chilvers Coton was the inspiration for the fictional village of Shepperton in Eliot's novel Scenes of Clerical Life. Like neighbouring Nuneaton, Chilvers Coton historically was a centre for the weaving and coal mining industries.The parish of Chilvers Coton was made a local board district in 1850, being the area's first modern form of local government; prior to that it was governed by its vestry. The two local boards for Chilvers Cotton and neighbouring Nuneaton were merged in 1893. The following year, all such districts were converted into urban districts. The Nuneaton and Chilvers Coton Urban District was elevated to become a municipal borough in 1907 under the single name of Nuneaton. The civil parish of Chilvers Coton continued to exist until 1920, but as an urban parish it had no parish council. The parish was abolished in 1920 when the parish of Nuneaton was enlarged to match the borough. In 1911 the parish had a population of 10,492.The original Church of England parish church for the area is All Saints' Church. This church dated from the 13th century with 19th century additions. Most of the church, except the tower, was destroyed in the Second World War during a German air raid on Nuneaton, and was subsequently rebuilt during 1946-51 by German prisoners of war. A Roman Catholic church, Our Lady of the Angels is also located in the area, as well as a Methodist chapel.Between 1850 and 1965, Chilvers Coton was served by its own railway station on the Coventry to Nuneaton Line. The Coventry Canal also runs through the area.

The 'Gold Belt' is a public sculpture located in a walkway underneath the Vicarage Road bridge, Nuneaton, England. The walkway links Riversley Park and the George Eliot Memorial Gardens.The 'Gold Belt' was produced as a result of a project between local artist Alisha Miller, Warwickshire County Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in 2003. The 'Gold Belt' represents a coal miner's leather belt. This reinforces a local connection through Nuneaton's mining heritage and also links to the Union Wool and Leather Factory that used to be located on the site of a supermarket close to Riversley Park.The work was inspired by the motto, "a good reputation is better than a belt of gold", of Edward Melly who donated the park to the people of Nuneaton in 1907.

The Ropewalk Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. It has a glass roof (which is not connected to the building), two floors retail stores, including high street retailers, and also a car park.

St. Nicolas Church is the parish church of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England owned by the Church of England. The building dates back to around 1340 and is a Grade I listed building.

Nuneaton ( nə-NEE-tən) is a market town in the borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth in northern Warwickshire, England, located adjacent to the county border with Leicestershire to the north-east. Nuneaton's population at the 2021 census was 88,813, making it the largest town in Warwickshire. Nuneaton's larger urban area, which also includes the large adjoining villages of Bulkington and Hartshill had a population of 99,372 in the 2021 census.Originally a small riverside settlement known as Etone, Nuneaton gained its name from a medieval nunnery which was established in the 12th century, during which it also became a small market town. It later developed into an important industrial town due to ribbon weaving and coal mining. The author George Eliot was born on a farm on the Arbury Estate just outside Nuneaton in 1819 and lived in the town for much of her early life. Her novel Scenes of Clerical Life (1858) depicts Nuneaton. There is a hospital named after her, The George Eliot Hospital. There is also a statue of George Eliot in the town centre.

King Edward VI College is a sixth form college located in Nuneaton, England, in Warwickshire. Currently, it teaches subjects in preparation for A-level examinations, for students generally aged sixteen to eighteen. The college presently accommodates approximately 1400 students from Warwickshire, West Midlands and neighbouring counties.

The Abbeygate Shopping Centre (sometimes mistakenly referred to as 'Abbey Gate Shopping Precinct') is a shopping centre in the town centre of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. It was first opened in the 1960s and was originally known as Heron Way, and was once home to an indoor market. During a refurbishment in the 1990s a glass atrium roof was fitted and it was renamed Abbeygate. It now comprises 40 retail units. The centre has a retail mix of multi-nationals and small independents.The anchor stores were Argos and Peacocks. In 2020, Peacocks permanently closed down in the shopping centre, however it has since reopened once again in 2021 after a buyer was found. The reason for Argos' closure was due to Sainsbury's closing their standalone high-street stores as part of a "reorganisation". Argos still operate as a 'click and collect' branch inside the Vicarage Street Sainsbury's supermarket.In October 2010 the main post office for the town relocated from the outside of the centre to an internal shop.The centre is privately owned. In April 2018 it was sold to a mystery local property company for £4.3 million; considerably less than the £17 million the previous owners had paid for it in 2005.Since 14 January 2021, the former BrightHouse store, located inside of the Abbeygate Shopping Centre, is currently being used as a vaccination centre during the coronavirus pandemic.

Chilvers Coton was a railway station on the Coventry to Nuneaton Line, which served the Chilvers Coton area of Nuneaton, south of the town centre. It opened in 1850, along with the line, and was closed in 1965 when passenger services on the route were withdrawn. It was located in a cutting, just north of the point where the railway passed under College Street. The station was originally opened by the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) it came under the ownership of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) in 1922, and then British Railways in 1948. It was closed under the Beeching Axe. In January 2016, a new station, Bermuda Park was opened on the same line, around 1⁄2 mile (800 m) to the south of the site of Chilvers Coton station.
