Montferland (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmɔntfərlɑnt] ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It was created on 1 January 2005 from the amalgamation of the former municipalities of Bergh and Didam.

Didam (locally, Diem) is a town in the Netherlands in the eastern part of Netherlands in the region of "De Achterhoek", province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Montferland about 18 km east of Arnhem, which is the capital of the province, and about 11 km west from Doetinchem.

Didam railway station is located in Didam, Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 July 1885 and is located on the Winterswijk–Zevenaar railway line. The station is operated by Arriva and Breng and they use trains with Diesel engines.

Loil (Dutch pronunciation: [loːl]) is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Montferland. Loil forms a single urban area with Didam and is often referred to as a neighbourhood, but it is an independent village.

Nieuw-Dijk is a village in the municipality of Montferland in the Dutch province of Gelderland, close to Germany, with a population of approximately 834 people. Nieuw-Dijk has its own Roman Catholic parish church and primary school, both named for Saint Anthony of Padua. In 1926 a local football club was established, called the Sprinkhanen ("Grasshoppers"). The village also has its own traditional shooting club (schutterij). Activities for children are the Schuttersfeest and the Elfstratentocht, this is an inline skating route made by the village.

Veldhuizen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Zevenaar, on the border with Germany, about 7 km southeast of the town of Zevenaar.It was first mentioned between 1851 and 1855 as Veldhuizen, and means "(temporary) settlement in the field". A part of the hamlet is located in Germany where it's called Feldhausen. The Dutch part consists of about 15 houses.

Babberich is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is in the municipality Zevenaar, about 3 km southeast of the centre of Zevenaar. It's located near the border with Germany. Until 1816, it was a part of the Duchy of Cleves.

De Hoop is a gristmill in Oud-Zevenaar, Netherlands. It was owned by the Pijnappel family from 1852 until 2014, at which point it was sold to the Botter family. The current miller is Frits Botter.

Nieuw-Wehl is a village in the eastern Netherlands, about 10 km west of Doetinchem. Before 1 January 2005, it was part of the municipality of Wehl, along with neighboring village Wehl. After the division, Nieuw-Wehl joined the municipality of Doetinchem.Nieuw-Wehl was first mentioned between 1830 and 1855 as "Achter Wehl", meaning behind Wehl. It started to develop in the early 20th century. In 1925, a Roman Catholic church was built. In 1933, the name officially changed to Nieuw-Wehl. The grist mill Bernadette was built in 1861 and restored in 1965 and 1998.

Oude Rijn ("Old Rhine"; not to be confused with the Alter Rhein) is the name of a long former bend in river Rhine in the Dutch province of Gelderland. In summer the bend became too shallow to be navigable, and so between 1701 and 1709 it was cut off from the main waterway near the town of Lobith and replaced by the Pannerdens Kanaal. After the bend was dammed-up at Tolkamer, the Oude Rijn received little water from the Rhine proper. Instead, most of its inflow now comes from the small river Wild. Near the Oude Rijn are several more, smaller, Old Rhine branches. Together they are known as the Rijnstrangen ("Rhine Bends"), a wildlife reserve area that is part of the Gelderse Poort. The Oude Rijn, which forms the border between the Dutch town of Lobith and the German town of Elten, was still used to relieve the overflow of the Rhine in times of flooding until the middle of the twentieth century. Opposite the town of Angeren, the Pannerdens Kanaal connects to the Oude Rijn, after which the river continues towards the sea as Nederrijn (Lower Rhine).
