William A. Jeffreys House is a historic plantation house located near Youngsville, Franklin County, North Carolina. It was built about 1842, and is a Federal style frame dwelling consisting of a two-story central block with flanking one-story wings. It has a Greek Revival style interior finish.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Green-Hartsfield House, also known as the Hartsfield House, is a historic home located near Rolesville, Wake County, North Carolina, a satellite town northeast of the state capital Raleigh. Built in 1805, the house is an example of Late Georgian / Early Federal style architecture. It is a two-story, three-bay, single pile, frame dwelling sheathed in weatherboard, with a two-story gable-roofed rear ell. A one-story rear shed addition was added in the 1940s. The house was restored between 1985 and 1987. Also on the property is a contributing frame barn.In December 1989, the Green-Hartsfield House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Heartsfield–Perry Farm is a historic home and farm located at Rolesville, Wake County, North Carolina, a satellite town of the state capital Raleigh. The original one-room house was built in the 1790s, with a Greek Revival style update made about 1840. It is a two-story house with two-story rear ell and one-story rear shed addition. It features a double-tier Greek-Revival-style—porch and low hipped roof. The interior of the house retains some Federal style design elements. Also on the property are the contributing detached kitchen (c. 1840), smokehouse / woodshed (c. 1840), privy (c. 1900), doctor's office (c. 1840), mule barn (c. 1805), pack house (c. 1940), horse barn (c. 1940), feed barn (c. 1840), two tobacco barns (c. 1930, c. 1950), the family cemetery, and the agricultural landscape.In January 2003, the Heartsfield–Perry Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Franklinton High School is a public school for secondary education located near Franklinton, North Carolina, United States, about 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) southeast of the town. It serves the rapidly expanding western areas of Franklin County and has seen significant growth in the past several years. The new campus was constructed in 2010 to replace the old high school that was built in the town of Franklinton in 1923. The new high school currently serves grades 9 through 12 for students residing in the Franklinton and Youngsville areas. There was originally a high school located in Youngsville, but it was closed and students in Youngsville began attending Bunn High School in 1978. Youngsville High School was demolished and a new elementary school was built in its place, called Youngsville Elementary School. The new Franklinton High School was opened to students on August 25, 2011 to start the 2011–2012 school year. Franklinton High School is three floors although the building is situated on an incline. The lower level (downhill side) primarily consists of the cafeteria, auditorium, gymnasium and vocational wing including art, music, technology, shop and agriculture. All of the sports fields are also on the downhill side heading towards Cedar Creek. Two floors are on the upper level (uphill side) which consist of the administrative offices and library along with the English, math, science, social studies and foreign language wings.

Built in 1903, the Young house is the only example of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival architecture in Rolesville. The two-story white house features a wraparound porch, tall brick chimneys, and steep pyramidal roofs.In September 2003, the Dr. Lawrence Branch Young House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rolesville was incorporated on January 18, 1837, by the North Carolina Legislature. In 2012, the town celebrated its 175th anniversary.
