Sellicks Beach, formerly spelt Sellick's Beach, is a suburb in the Australian state of South Australia located within Adelaide metropolitan area about 47 kilometres (29 mi) from the Adelaide city centre. It is an outer southern suburb of Adelaide and is located in the local government area of the City of Onkaparinga at the southern boundary of the metropolitan area. It is known as Witawali or Witawodli by the traditional owners, the Kaurna people, and is of significance as being the site of a freshwater spring said to be created by the tears of Tjilbruke, the creator being.The beach lies within Aldinga Bay. The suburb consists of land bounded in the north by Button Road, in the east by the Main South Road, to the south by the boundary of the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Willunga and to the west by the coastline with Aldinga Bay. The 2016 Australian census reported that Sellicks Beach had 2,616 people living within its boundaries.

Sellicks Hill – formerly spelt Sellick's Hill – is a semi-rural suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It lies within both the City of Onkaparinga and the District Council of Yankalilla. Before the British colonisation of South Australia, the Sellicks Hill area (along with most of the Adelaide plains area and down the western side of the Fleurieu Peninsula), was inhabited by the Kaurna people. Sellick's Hill Post Office opened on 2 July 1860.

Aldinga Reef Aquatic Reserve is a marine protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located in waters adjoining the east coast of Gulf St Vincent including land within the intertidal zone in the suburbs of Aldinga Beach and Port Willunga about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of the state capital of Adelaide.It was declared on 30 November 1971 to protect ‘aquatic plants and animals associated with the large intertidal limestone reef and the spectacular precipitous underwater cliff known as the ‘drop-off’ and the surrounding sandy substrate for the purposes of education and recreation’. ‘Fishing and collecting or removing any marine organism is prohibited’, however the following activities are permitted - use of boats, swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and walking on intertidal reef exposed at low water. The reserve extends seaward a distance of about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) around a headland named Snapper Point from Thomas Street, Aldinga Beach in the south and Seaborne Avenue, Port Willunga in the north.Since 2012, it has been located within the boundaries of a “sanctuary zone” within the Encounter Marine Park.The aquatic reserve is classified as an IUCN Category II protected area.

Myponga Beach is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia about 54 kilometres (34 miles) south of the state capital of Adelaide. It is on the eastern shore of Gulf St Vincent, immediately north of the northern boundary of the Fleurieu Peninsula.The locality extends from Snapper Point (at the southern end of Aldinga Bay) in the north to Carrickalinga Point about 18.7 km (11.6 mi) to the south-west. The coastline includes an inlet known as Coweelunga Bay; on its shores are a popular beach (known colloquially as Myponga Beach) and the mouth of the Myponga River.Myponga Beach began as a shack site on the shoreline in section 240 of the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Myponga. Boundaries were created for this "long established name" in 1999.As of 2015, land use within the locality consisted of land zoned for primary production uses such as agriculture, land adjoining the coastline being zoned for conservation purposes and the settlement at Coweelunga Bay being zoned as a "country township".The 2016 Australian census reported that the locality had a population of 33 people.Myponga Beach is located within the federal division of Mayo, the state electoral district of Mawson and the local government area of the District Council of Yankalilla.

Port Noarlunga Reef Aquatic Reserve is a marine protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located in waters in Gulf St Vincent adjoining the Adelaide metropolitan area and including part of the Onkaparinga River about 28 kilometres (17 mi) south-west of the state capital of Adelaide.As of 2016, the aquatic reserve extents seaward for a distance of about 1.75 kilometres (1.09 miles) from Gulfview Road in the suburb of Christies Beach in the north with its seaward boundary finishing in the south at the shoreline near the west end of Helmsman Terrace in the suburb of Seaford and includes the full extent of the Onkaparinga River from its mouth to the bridge on the South Road in the suburbs of Noarlunga Downs and Seaford Meadows.The portion of the aquatic reserve located within Gulf St Vincent includes two reef systems that are exposed at low tide - the Horseshoe Reef located off the coast at Christies Beach and the Port Noarlunga Reef located off the coast at Port Noarlunga. The Port Noarlunga Reef is connected to the shore by a jetty.The aquatic reserve was declared on 30 November 1971 to protect “reef organisms from exploitation and for the conservation of the estuary and swamps of the lower Onkaparinga River, for the purposes of recreation and education.”The aquatic reserve is classified as an IUCN Category VI protected area.
