Pateros Church

Pateros, officially the Municipality of Pateros (Tagalog: Bayan ng Pateros), is the lone and 1st class municipality in Metropolitan Manila, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 63,643 people.This municipality is famous for its duck-raising industry and especially for producing balut, a Filipino delicacy, which is a boiled, fertilised duck egg. Pateros is also known for the production of red salty eggs and "inutak", a local rice cake. Moreover, the town is known for manufacturing of "alfombra", a locally-made footwear with a carpet-like fabric on its top surface. Pateros is bordered by the following highly urbanized cities of Pasig to the north, Makati to the west, and Taguig to the south. Pateros is the only municipality and the smallest, both in population and in land area, in Metro Manila, but it is the second most densely populated at around 29,000 people per square kilometer after Manila.

Garcia Avenue, a part of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), and Kalayaan Avenue, it was fitted in 2009 with the country's first elevated U-turn slots, built in an attempt to speed up traffic along the C-5 corridor.

International School Manila (abbreviation: ISM) is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian international school located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. Founded in 1920 as the American School by a group of American and British parents living in Manila, it adopted its present name in 1970. International School Manila is one of six members of the Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asian Schools (IASAS).

The Marikina River (Tagalog: Ilog Marikina) is a river in eastern Metro Manila, Philippines. It is the largest tributary of the Pasig River, with headwaters located in the Sierra Madre Mountains in Rodriguez, Rizal province. The Marikina River used to be an important transport route during the Spanish colonial era, but its importance as a transport route diminished when the Philippines' national highway system became more established. The resulting lack of river boat traffic and the deforestation of the upland areas in what is now the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape contributed to the river's siltation, further reducing its value as a transport route.Due to negligence and industrial development, the river has become very polluted, an act which recent Marikina administrations have attempted to address.

The Taguig River (Tagalog: Ilog ng Taguig) is a river in the Philippines, a tributary of the Pasig River. It eventually joins the Pateros River, forming the common border between Pateros and Makati.

Dambanang Kawayan, officially known as Saint John the Baptist Parish, is a Roman Catholic parish-church located in Barangay Ligid-Tipas in Taguig, Philippines. This church of Tipas formerly belonged to the Immaculate Conception Parish of Pasig and later transferred to the Shrine of Saint Anne in Sta. Ana, Taguig City. On November 17, 1969, Cardinal Rufino Jiao Santos formally erected the parish under the patronage of St. John the Baptist. The first parish priest appointed was Rev. Fr. Ruben "Ben" J. Villote. The word "Tipas" comes from the word "Tinagpas" or "Tiga-gapas" because the original taga-Tipas were farmers. From 1969 to 2003, the Parish of St. John the Baptist was a part of the Archdiocese of Manila. Presently, it belongs to the Vicariate of St. Anne under the Diocese of Pasig. Rev. Fr. Glenn B. Gaabucayan is the current parish priest.
