Weissenhäuser Strand (German Weißenhäuser Strand) is a place in Oldenburg-Land and a part of the municipality Wangels, Schleswig-Holstein. It is located at the Baltic Sea.

Hohwacht Bay (German: Hohwachter Bucht) is a wide bay in the state of Schleswig-Holstein on Germany's Baltic Sea coastline. It is named after the village and seaside resort of Hohwacht. The nearest large town is Oldenburg in Holstein, about 5 kilometres inland. A number of nature reserves fringe the bay and there is a military training area along its eastern shore.On the western shore, about 1 kilometre north of Behrensdorf, stands the ninety-year-old Neuland Lighthouse which is used as a warning light by the military training facilities.

The Bungsberg () is the highest point in the north German state of Schleswig-Holstein (elevation: 168 metres (551 ft)). It lies in the region known as Holstein Switzerland in the municipality of Schönwalde am Bungsberg between Scheelholz and Mönchsneversdorf. The Bungsberg telecommunications tower is located on the Bungsberg. One of the longest rivers in Schleswig-Holstein, the Schwentine, rises on the Bungsberg.

The Bungsberg telecommunications tower, also known as the Fernmeldeturm Schönwalde, is a 179-metre-high telecommunications tower situated on the Bungsberg, a hill which (at 168 metres above mean sea level) is the highest point in the north German state of Schleswig-Holstein. The tower, which belongs to Deutsche Telekom, is used for directional radio links, FM radio and television transmissions (see the list of frequencies below) and mobile telephony services. Constructed of concrete, weighing some 6000 tonnes, and having a diameter at its base of 8.4 metres, the tower is equipped with a public observation deck at a height of 40 metres, accessible by an internal staircase. The telecommunications tower was not the first tower incorporating a viewing platform to be erected on the Bungsberg. An 18-metre-high observation tower, the Elisabethenturm, had been built earlier, in 1861. This tower, extended to a height of 22 metres in 1864, is still standing, although closed to the public since the opening of the telecommunications tower.

The Kossau is a stream in the district of Plön in eastern Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It drains the lake Tresdorfer See and flows past Lütjenburg and through the Großer Binnensee before entering the Baltic Sea near Hohwacht. The stream was dammed near Rantzau Castle in the Middle Ages to form a lake which existed until the 18th century. It is about 22 kilometres (14 mi) long and most of its course consists of meanders. It is largely in a natural state and, together with its wet meadows, forms a rich habitat. The Kossau Valley is a designated nature reserve.
