Old Trail School is an independent coeducational day school, serving toddler though grade 8, founded in 1920. It is located in Bath, Ohio, in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is the only independent school in the United States that is located in a national park.

Indigo Lake is a small, roughly triangular lake in Summit County, Ohio, in the United States. It is not a natural lake, having been created by the park service in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is a popular fishing location, with several species present including the Largemouth bass.

Hale Farm and Village is a historic property of the Western Reserve Historical Society in Bath Township, Summit County, Ohio, United States. It is within the boundaries of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Hale Farm was the original homestead of Jonathan Hale, a Connecticut farmer who migrated to the Western Reserve in 1810. In 1973 Hale Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Jonathan Hale Homestead. The Hale House was built in 1825.

Botzum was a hamlet in Northampton Township, Summit County, Ohio around what is now the intersection of Bath and Riverview Roads in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls. Botzum began as a community along the Ohio and Erie Canal where the canal spread out to form the Yellow Creek Basin near Yellow Creek. This was thought to be a good place for business. There were two warehouses, a store, and a hotel there in 1827, set up by Nathaniel Hardy. [1]Botzum was platted in 1836 on 100 acres (0.4 km2) [2] as Niles by Peter Voris and some of his associates. The village was never actually built, though, due to the Panic of 1837. Eventually the lots were sold off, one of them to George Botzum. In 1866 the Buckeye post office opened up. In spite of this name, though, the railroad depot in town was called Botzum. The name of the post office was also changed to Botzum in 1893 to match the name of the depot[3]. In the 1920s the city of Akron purchased 800 acres (3.2 km2) of land at Botzum to build a sewage treatment plant, which opened in 1928 and remains there to this day[4]. There is no longer any sign that there was a community there. Along with the sewage plant it is known for a viewing station for great blue herons to the east where Bath Road crosses the Cuyahoga River. There is also a sign on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath with a photograph of Botzum from 1875[5].

The Blossom Festival is a summer music festival of orchestral music located at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The festival was originally created to provide a summer concert vehicle for the Cleveland Orchestra and the Blossom Music Center was specifically built to host the festival. The festival's first season was in 1968 and it consisted of six weeks of concerts given by the Cleveland Orchestra intermingled with eight individual jazz/folk music concerts. George Szell conducted the first concert on July 19, 1968. Since then the festival has been expanded to include ten weeks of orchestral music, most of which is still performed by the Cleveland Orchestra but also includes concerts by the festival's own Blossom Festival Orchestra. The Blossom Festival Orchestra is made up of free-lance musicians from the Cleveland area, mostly pulling from musicians of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Opera Cleveland Orchestra, or Apollo's Fire. The orchestra performs annually for the Blossom Festival, often appearing when the Cleveland Orchestra has other summer performance engagements outside of the Cleveland area.On July 28, 2007 the Blossom Festival made history; premiering the first live concert performance of Hoctor's Ballet which is one of the last orchestral works by Gershwin. Until 2005, the Blossom Festival had its own music director. The last person to serve in that capacity was Jahja Ling. After he stepped down from that position, the orchestra eliminated the post, and now the orchestra's full-time music director Franz Welser-Möst is in charge of the classical music concerts both during the regular concert season in Cleveland and the summer concerts at the Blossom Festival. Leonard Slatkin was the Festival Director from 1992 through 1999.2020 saw no festival happening.

Blossom Music Center, locally referred to simply as Blossom, is an outdoor amphitheatre in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, United States. The venue is the summer home of The Cleveland Orchestra and the site of the ensemble’s annual Blossom Festival. Blossom Music Center is owned by the Musical Arts Association, the Orchestra’s parent organization.

Botzum is a Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad train station in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with a street address in Akron, Ohio. It is located adjacent to the Cuyahoga River and Riverview Road in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Initially a stop on the Valley Railway, trains began regular service at Botzum in 1880 — the station was a flag stop.

Everett Historic District is a rural village located within Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. Everett is unique for being uncompromised by the pressures of suburban development. It represents a typical unincorporated hamlet of the turn of the 20th century rural America. The historic district comprises the village buildings, dating from the 1880s to the 1930s, along with their outbuildings (a varied collection of outhouses, garages, chicken coops, barns, and a milk house. Everett formed due to the existence of Johnny Cake Lock on the Ohio and Erie Canal. The settlement was renamed Unionville, and still later Everett in honor of Sylvester T. Everett, the Valley Railway's vice president and treasurer.The district overlaps part of the Everett Knoll Complex, an archeological district associated with the prehistoric Hopewell culture. This area was also used by the Civilian Conservation Corp for a nursery that played a key role in the development of the state and metropolitan parks in the area.

Revere High School (RHS) is a public high school located in Bath Township, adjacent to the village of Richfield, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Revere Local School District and serves students in Bath Township, Richfield Village, and Richfield Township, along with small portions of Copley, Akron, and Boston Township. In 2010, 2011, and 2015, the U.S. News & World Report named Revere High School a Silver school and ranked it in the top 1,000 schools in the United States. RHS offers 16 Advanced Placement courses from the College Board and in 2017, the school introduced several college credit plus courses where students earn college credit through the University of Akron.

Northampton was one of the 16 original townships in Summit County, Ohio. It was in the middle of Summit County, bordering Akron and Cuyahoga Falls. No incorporated areas were formed within the township but Akron and Cuyahoga Falls expanded into Northampton via annexation. In 1986, Northampton Township merged with Cuyahoga Falls, the first time a township and city merged in Ohio. When created it occupied survey Town 3, Range 11 in the Western Reserve and was about 25 square miles (65 km2) in area. Its first settler, Simeon Prior named the township for the Hampshire County, Massachusetts village of Northampton.
