West 117th–Madison is a station on the RTA Red Line in Cleveland, Ohio. It is located on the border between Cleveland and Lakewood. The station is located on the southeast corner of Madison Avenue and West 117th Street. The border between Cleveland and Lakewood runs down West 117th Street. As originally constructed, it included a bus loop adjacent to West 117th Street and a parking lot to the east. The station has undergone renovation and reconstruction, making it ADA accessible. In 2006–2007, the station recently underwent rehabilitation, and the renovated station was opened on October 16, 2007. Upon rededication, the name of the station was to be changed to Highland Square at West 117th Street, but the West 117th–Madison name had been retained with Highland Square name attached. Highland Square refers to a neighborhood name used in the 19th century. As of 2017, the Highland name has been removed.

The Kirby Company (stylized as KIRBY) is a manufacturer of vacuum cleaners and home cleaning accessories, based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. It is a division of Right Lane Industries. Dealers are located in over 50 countries throughout the world. Kirby's products are only sold via in-home door-to-door demonstrations and the company is a member of the Direct Selling Association. All of the vacuum cleaners are built in either Ohio or Texas.

The Phantasy Entertainment Complex has been a staple in the Cleveland music scene since the early 1980s. The Phantasy has helped in launching nationally recognized bands Anne E. DeChant, Devo, Exotic Birds, Filter, Lucky Pierre, the Adults, The Pagans, Stabbing Westward, and was the debut location for Nine Inch Nails. It has also been a stopover for other major acts like Iggy Pop, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Pogues, The Psychedelic Furs, the Ramones and Psychic TV and has hosted reunion shows for bands including Lestat, among others.

Triskett is a station on the RTA Red Line in Cleveland, Ohio. It is located off Triskett Road between West 139th Street and Berea Road. The station includes a large parking lot accessible from Triskett Road. Northwest of the parking lot is the Triskett bus garage, and the station is also accessible from Lakewood Heights Boulevard by driving past the Triskett garage. Despite the fact Interstate 90 passes directly over the Triskett garage, the station is not readily accessible from the freeway. To reach the station from Interstate 90, drivers must exit at West 140th Street, drive south to Triskett Road, east on Triskett Road, and then north on the access road to the station. The station headhouse is located on the eastern side of the parking lot adjacent to the tracks and includes a bus loading area. The headhouse is connected to the platform by a bridge extending over the westbound track.

St. Edward High School is a boys, private, Roman Catholic high school in Lakewood, Ohio, United States. It was founded in 1949 and is operated in the Holy Cross tradition by the Midwest Province of the Brothers of Holy Cross. It is one of three remaining boys Catholic high schools in the Greater Cleveland area (Benedictine and St. Ignatius being the others) and has an enrollment of 970 students, as of the 2019-2020 school year.

Lakewood High School is a public high school located in Lakewood, Ohio, west of Cleveland. The school colors are purple and gold and the mascot is the Ranger Man. The school athletics program is currently a member of the Great Lakes Conference.

The Winton Motor Carriage Company was a pioneer United States automobile manufacturer based in Cleveland, Ohio. Winton was one of the first American companies to sell a motor car. In 1912 Winton became one of the first American manufacturers of diesel engines.

The Gold Coast is a lakefront neighborhood of the city of Lakewood, Ohio, United States. Visible from Downtown Cleveland, the Gold Coast consists of many highrise condo and apartment towers directly along the coasts of Lake Erie. The Gold Coast runs specifically along Edgewater Drive and Lake Avenue. It is bordered on the west by Gold Coast Lane and on the east along W. 117th St. Some consider Clifton Boulevard also to be a part of the Gold Coast. The majority of the neighborhood revolves around dense low-rise residential complexes on the southern side with the newer and taller buildings on the northern side.

The Winton Place is a 264-foot 1963 opened high-rise apartment complex in the second most populated suburb of Cleveland, Lakewood, Ohio's Gold Coast neighborhood, which is right on the border of the Cleveland, Ohio neighborhood known as Edgewater, Cleveland, Ohio. It was named after Alexander Winton who manufactured automobiles until in the 1900s and built a house for his family on the same land that the Winton occupies today. To this day, Winton is known as one of the most exclusive and one of the highest views in an apartment in Greater Cleveland. In fact, at the time of its completion in 1963, it was the tallest apartment building between New York City and Chicago. It was and still is considered one of the most expensive properties in Lakewood and Cleveland having cost $20 million ($177,021,739 today) at the time of construction.The Winton started a whole high-end apartment boom that drove up land value on the Lake Erie shore of Lakewood. Soon other apartment buildings would follow but the Winton has always been special to the history of both Cleveland and Lakewood. The famous 1965-opened Pier W restaurant sits below the Winton and hangs on the craggy cliff that overlooks Lake Erie and offers beautiful views of Downtown Cleveland.Winton Place was designed by Cleveland Engineering firm Arthur G. McKee Co. under the direction of Engineering Supervisor Karlis Maizitis, a Case Western Reserve Civil Engineering graduate.

The Eleanor Gerson School is a coeducational alternative day school for students in grades 6 through 12. The school serves a variety of students, including those with emotional or behavioral difficulties, who have been bullied, or have poor social skills/peer relationships. The curriculum at The Gerson School closely mirrors that of most home districts. Classrooms typically have six to ten students, and are organized based on how students are most likely to focus and learn. All major academic subjects are offered in addition to many electives, including sociology, Spanish, speech communication, government, history, Caribbean culture, service-learning, art, and computer applications. The Gerson School was opened in 1970 by the Society of Friends. It is located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Cudell is a neighborhood on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. Named after Frank E. Cudell, the neighborhood has been a part of Cleveland since 1904, upon the completion of municipal annexation of the land by the city.In 2014, the Cudell Recreation Center was the site of the shooting of Tamir Rice. For Cleveland City Council, the Cudell neighborhood is split between the 11th and 15th wards, and is represented jointly by council members Brian Mooney and Jenny Spencer.

Lakewood is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States, on the southern shore of Lake Erie. Established in 1889, it is one of Cleveland's historical streetcar suburbs and part of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. The population was 52,131 at the 2010 United States Census, making it the third largest city in Cuyahoga County, behind Cleveland and Parma. Lakewood is home to a young and diverse population, including a significant number of immigrants. Its population density is the highest of any city in Ohio and is roughly comparable to that of Los Angeles.
