The Dodge County Fair is the annual county fair held in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The fair is held every year in August starting from the 3rd Wednesday of the month through the following Sunday at the Dodge County Fairgrounds.The first Dodge County Fair was held in the fall of 1853 in Juneau. For the next three decades the location of the fair was in Juneau with the exception of the county fairs of 1855 and 1874 which were held in Beaver Dam, and the fair of 1856 which was held at Horicon.On October 5, 1887, the fair was held in Beaver Dam at grounds which are now part of the Wayland Academy.In 1961, the Dodge County Fair Association moved the fair to the newly purchased fairgrounds along Highway 33, east of Beaver Dam which serves as the present day location for the fair. The site is known as the Dodge County Fairgrounds.The fair features food festivals, music concerts, livestock shows and other entertainment activities and is attended by over 50000 people annually.

Oak Grove (originally called Fairfield) is a town in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,126 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Minnesota Junction is located in the town. The unincorporated community of Rolling Prairie is also located partially in the town.

Beaver Dam is a town in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,440 at the 2000 census. The City of Beaver Dam is encircled by the town. The unincorporated communities of Beaver Edge, Leipsig and Sunset Beach are located in the town. The ghost town of Clason Prairie was also located in the town.

Beaver Dam High School is a public high school located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. It is a part of the Beaver Dam Unified School District. As of 25 October 2017 it had an enrollment of 1,045 students. Its mascot is the Golden Beaver.

Camp Beaver Dam was an American World War II prisoner of war camp in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin during the summer of 1944. The camp held 300 German prisoners of war in a tent city encampment where the Wayland Academy field house now stands.

Wayland Academy is a selective private, coeducational college preparatory boarding high school located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, United States. The student population at the beginning of the 2021–22 school year was 125. Nearly three-quarters of the students board at the school.

The Williams Free Library is a public building in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. It was the first public library in the United States to have open stacks. In 1985 the building was abandoned and the library was relocated and renamed the Beaver Dam Community Library. While the building is no longer used as a library, its Richardsonian Romanesque design remains one of the city's architectural gems.

Hotel Rogers is a historic structure located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, whose construction was headed by Fred Rogers in 1927-28. The site was formerly occupied by Roedl, Jacobs and Hall, a lumber, building materials and fuel store which was razed in 1924 to build the hotel. Rogers who was then president of the Malleable Iron Range Company, built the 6 story hotel to cater to tourists and the salesmen that frequently visited the city. Additional floor space on the sixth level was added in 1931. This building was operated as a hotel by his daughter, Ann Rogers-Pfieffer until 1987.The facilities in the building include a large kitchen and dining room on the first level. This dining room was operated part-time as a restaurant and was available for events like meetings and banquets. Other facilities included a coffee shop, a drug store, and a barber and a beauty shop. A writing room/parlor was provided for female guests, while male guests could enjoy a bar that discreetly served patrons even during the years of prohibition. In 1987 a business partnership purchased the building. Extensive remodeling and updating was done at that time. Some of the hotel style rooms were combined into full apartments. Reception areas were furnished with antiques and new carpet in a style similar to the originals was installed. Bronze chandeliers and sconces with Tiffany style glass shades replaced fluorescent fixtures on the main floor. The entire building was updated and upgraded to follow the original style of the building as much as possible. There are currently 41 apartments and 20 sleeping rooms. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The building is currently operated as an apartment building with monthly rates with a mix of full apartments and sleeping rooms.Numerous claims are made regarding famous people visiting or staying at the hotel including George H. W. Bush, and President John F. Kennedy during his presidential campaign. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum contains a transcript of a speech that he made there in 1960.The front desk also played a supporting role in the movie, Public Enemies, filmed at area locations in 2008. The building underwent further renovations in 2018.The current owner is Downtown Rogers, Inc. with their offices currently located in the building.

Beaver Dam is a city in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States, along Beaver Dam Lake and the Beaver Dam River. The population was 16,708 at the 2020 census, making it the largest city primarily located in Dodge County. It is the principal city of the Beaver Dam Micropolitan Statistical area which is included in the larger Milwaukee–Waukesha–Racine CSA. The city is adjacent to the Town of Beaver Dam.
