Bolesławiec railway station

Bolesławiec (pronounced [bɔlɛˈswavʲɛt͡s] , German: Bunzlau) is a historic city situated on the Bóbr River in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the administrative seat of Bolesławiec County, and of Gmina Bolesławiec (being an urban gmina in its own right). As of June 2021, it has a population of 38,280. Founded in the 13th century, the city is known for its long-standing pottery-making tradition and heritage Old Town.

Gmina Bolesławiec is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Bolesławiec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Bolesławiec, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 288.9 square kilometres (111.5 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 14,641.

The Bolesławiec rail viaduct is a railway bridge over the river Bóbr in Bolesławiec in Lower Silesia, Poland. Entirely made of stone, it is one of the longest bridges of its type in Poland and in Europe.

The land around the town is very flat, being mostly wheat fields and other farmland.
