De Snip, Workum

Workum is a railway station serving Workum, Netherlands. The station was opened on 28 November 1885. It is located on the Leeuwarden–Stavoren railway between Sneek and Stavoren. The train services are operated by Arriva.

The Monnikenburenmolen or Nijhuizumermolen is a drainage mill in Nijhuizum, Friesland, Netherlands. It was restored in 2008 after it was only just saved from demolishment in 1994. It is a hollow post windmill of a type called "spinnenkop" by the Dutch. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 527646. It can help drain the polder and has been designated as a backup to the pumping station by the waterboard Wetterskip Fryslân.

Parrega (West Frisian: Parregea) is a village in the municipality Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 490 in January 2017.The village is divided by a canal and the only bridge, in the village centre, connects the two parts. Parrega has its own primary school. Most of the children of Parrega, Hieslum and Dedgum are educated at this school. There is also a Community Hall, including sports facilities, called the Gearhing.
