Horton High School is a public high school located in Wolfville Ridge, Nova Scotia, Canada. It succeeded Horton District High School (1959-1998). As of 2024, the school principal is Jodye Routledge. The athletic teams are the 'Griffins'. In 2015, there were approximately 867 students enrolled in grades 9–12 at the school. The school is fully networked and offers a less than 1.9:1 student-to-computer ratio. The school was a part of Canada's SchoolNet Network of Innovative Schools program which is no longer active.

Greenwich is a rural community located in eastern Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was previously known as Noggins Corner, as travellers could procure a noggin of rum at a local public house. The community is bordered to the south by the Wolfville Ridge, immediately west of the town of Wolfville and east of the village of New Minas. It is also bordered on the north by the south bank of the Cornwallis River (also known as Chijekwtook), opposite the village of Port Williams.

The Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival is an annual agricultural and heritage celebration held in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley usually the last weekend of May. The festival draws tourists to the area to take in a number of festival events, local culture, the valley and its orchards in full bloom. As of 2017/2018, the festival was celebrating its 85th year - "Rooted in Tradition".

Kings South is a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada, that elects one member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. It includes the town of Wolfville, the village of New Minas, the community of Coldbrook, and Glooscap First Nation.

Les Mines was the name generally applied the Acadian settlements in the western Minas Basin in Nova Scotia. They included the villages of Grand-Pré, New Minas, Rivière-aux-Canards but usually excluded the villages at Pisiguit, Cobequid, and Beaubassin. The name originated with early French explorers who identified copper mines at Cape d'Or as "Les Mines" and the name was gradually transferred to identify the Basin beyond Cape d'Or and its settlements. Founded in the 1680s, the communities which comprised Les Mines grew and prospered based on skilled development of dyked marsh lands for agriculture. However the settlements were destroyed in the 1755 Bay of Fundy Campaign of the Deportation of the Acadians.

Gaspereau Vineyards is a small winery located in the Gaspereau River Valley of Nova Scotia run by Gina Haverstock. The vineyard encompasses 35 acres (140,000 m2) and is 3 kilometres from downtown Wolfville. It is one of several wineries in Nova Scotia. The winery produces a number of red and white wines, available in dry, off dry, and semi dry. Additionally, icewine and maple wine are made. In 2020 they won a Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Nova Scotia Wines.

Wolfville is a Canadian town in the Annapolis Valley, Kings County, Nova Scotia, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northwest of the provincial capital, Halifax. The town is home to Acadia University and Landmark East School. The town is a tourist destination due to its views of Cape Blomidon, the Bay of Fundy and Gaspereau Valley, as well as its wine industry. The downtown portion of Wolfville is home to pubs, bars, cafes and shops. Wolfville is also home to the Acadia Cinema Cooperative, a non-profit organization that runs the local movie/performance house. In the past few years, several Victorian houses in Wolfville have been converted to bed and breakfast establishments.

The Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens (HIBG) is a botanical garden located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada, on the campus of Acadia University. The HIBG is considered a tourist destination in the Annapolis Valley. Within the HIBG are nine native habitats of the Acadian Forest Region, a Medicinal and Food Garden, Conservatory, Formal Walled Garden, and Experimental Garden. The HIBG also serves as a trailhead for 1.5 km of woodland trails. The Harriet Irving Botanical Garden is connected to the K.C. Irving Environmental Centre (KCIC), with laboratories, greenhouses, and controlled environmental facilities. The HIBG and KCIC run educational and recreational programs for the public. The staff of the HIBG act as coordinators for PlantWatch, a national program tracking climate change and other ecological activities by its volunteers.
