Chevington railway station served the village of West Chevington, Northumberland, England from 1847 to 1964 on the East Coast Main Line.

Felton is a village in Northumberland, North East England, 8.9 miles (14 km) south of Alnwick and 12 miles (19 km) north of Morpeth. The nearest city, Newcastle upon Tyne, is 24 miles (39 km) south of the village, and the Scottish border is 37 miles (60 km) north of it. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 1531. There are two bridges crossing the River Coquet. The older stone bridge dates to around the 15th century, while the newer concrete bridge was built in 1926. The older bridge is closed to traffic, and is often used for village events including wassailing at Christmas. St Michael and All Angels church to the west of the village is a Grade I listed building.

The Church of St Michael and All Angels is a parish church located on Riverside in Felton, Northumberland, England. Built circa 1200, its many alterations and additions have caused it to be almost encased within another church. Some unusual features are that the nave and an aisle appear roofless, as well as a window with geometrical tracery that features an eight-petalled flower patterned central circle cut from a single stone. Dedicated to Saint Michael, it is a Grade I listed building.

Acklington Park is a former civil parish, now in the parish of Acklington, Northumberland, England. It was the birthplace of John Rushworth (born c.1612) who achieved fame in both England and during the formation of the United States of America for compiling a series of works called Historical Collections covering the English Civil Wars throughout the 17th century. His writings became a part of the library of Thomas Jefferson and the second Library of Congress. In 1951 the parish had a population of 33.

Acklington is a railway station on the East Coast Main Line, which runs between London King's Cross and Edinburgh Waverley. Royal Air Force Acklington, simply known as RAF Acklington, is a former Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force station located 3.2 miles (5.1 km) south west of Amble, Northumberland and 8.8 miles (14.2 km) north east of Morpeth, Northumberland. The airfield was operational initially from 1916 being used by the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and from April 1918 its successor the Royal Air Force (RAF) before being closed in 1920 however it was reopened in 1938 being used by the RAF until 1972. After 1972 the site was turned over to Her Majesty's Prison Service for the creation of two new prisons.

HM Prison Acklington was a Category C men's prison, located near the village of Acklington (a few miles from Amble), in Northumberland, England. Acklington Prison was operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service. In 2011 Acklington was merged into the newly named HM Prison Northumberland. HMP Acklington was the most northerly adult prison in England, and was built on the site of the former RAF Acklington airfield.

Castington Prison was the most northerly Young Offenders Institution in England, and was built on the site of the former RAF Acklington airfield.

Acklington is a small village in Northumberland, England. It is situated to the south-west of Amble, inland from the North Sea coast. It is served by Acklington railway station. The name is Anglo-Saxon Old English meaning 'farmstead of Eadlac's people'. Acklington won the title of Northumberland Village of the Year in 2007. It has a parish church, St John the Divine, and a Church of England primary school. To the north of Acklington is Morwick Hall, a Grade II listed Georgian house. It was built by the Grey family of Howick; in the 1850s it was owned by William Linskill, a former High Sheriff of Northumberland. A World War II FW3/22 pillbox is located near the B6345. A dam was constructed on the River Coquet in 1776, causing problems for the river's salmon population. Many years later, the eccentric naturalist Frank Buckland erected a sign directing the salmon to another stream.
