St John's College is an Independent Anglican day and boarding boys' school situated in Houghton Estate in the city of Johannesburg in the Gauteng province of South Africa. It was founded in 1898 and comprises five schools: College, Preparatory, Pre-Preparatory and The Bridge Nursery, as well as a co-educational Sixth Form. St John's College is a member of the ISASA.

Munro Drive is a suburban pass through the Linksfield Ridge on the Witwatersrand range in Johannesburg, South Africa. It connects the suburbs of Upper and Lower Houghton. The drive is about 900m long and rises around 43m to the summit.

St Aidan's Anglican Church was established in Yeoville as a daughter church to St Augustine's church in Doornfontein. The foundation stone was laid on 14 December 1912. The nave was extended in 1922 and the building was finally completed in 1937.

King Edward VII School (KES) is a public English medium high school for boys situated within the city of Johannesburg in South Africa's Gauteng Province, one of the historically significant Milner Schools. The school is a public school, with an enrollment of over 1,100 boys from grades 8 to 12 (ages 13 to 18). King Edward VII Preparatory School (KEPS), which is situated adjacent to the High School and shares its grounds, caters to boys from grades R to 7.

Radoma Court was designed in 1937 by the Harold Le Roith practice of architects. It is situated prominently on a corner site in Bellevue, at stand 474 where Cavendish and Yeo Streets meet. At the time of construction, it was considered the most important block of flats in the international style of the modern movement. Clive Chipkin describes Radoma Court as ‘a stunning building’ and it has gained iconic status. A corner building, Radoma Court has its facade on the South and West boundaries of Cavendish and Yeo streets in Bellevue, Gauteng. Erected prior to the war, the building comprises 27 flats, of which 4 have two bedrooms and the rest are bachelor flats, and a basement parking garage. The building has been published both in South Africa and overseas and is regarded by student and architects as iconic.

36 Houghton Drive is one of a pair of buildings (Stands 1123 and 1125) situated in the suburb of Houghton, Johannesburg with fine craftsmanship in the Arts and Crafts manner. The buildings were designed in 1919 by the architect Piercy Patrick Eagle and commissioned by the original owner P.W. McKie. Eagle was a Transvaal Government Architect from 1904–1920, and he designed public buildings including Jeppe High School for Boys and King Edward VII High School.

The Wilds is an inner city park and nature reserve in the suburb of Houghton, in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. The park consists of 16 hectares of indigenous vegetation on the sides of two rocky koppies or hills with views of the city of Johannesburg and its suburbs. Through the 1990s the park gained a reputation for being highly dangerous and crime ridden, however, it has since become "rejuvenated" due to the efforts of volunteers.

Bellevue is an inner city neighbourhood of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa. Close to the Johannesburg CBD with the neighbourhood surrounded by Yeoville and Observatory. It is located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. It shares the same praise and notoriety as its surrounding neighbourhood Yeoville. The neighbourhood today is usually called Yeoville due to their very close proximity, same demographics and notoriety, leading to the whole area now known as Greater Yeoville, combining Bellevue, Bellevue East and Yeoville. It is home to the Yeoville Hotel.

It is located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. It is located in between Yeoville and Hillbrow to the east and west respectively. The Yeoville Water Tower is located in Harley and Percy Streets, Yeoville, near the fountain of Doornfontein; it was built in 1914 by the Sivewright's Johannesburg Waterworks, Estate and Exploration company. It was constructed with a reservoir to supply piped water to Johannesburg.

Barnato Park High School is a co-educational school located in Berea, Johannesburg, South Africa. It was built on the site of the mansion that had been designed for Barney Barnato, the mining millionaire.
