Solsteinhaus

The Erlspitze, at 2,405 m (AA), is the highest mountain of the range to which it gives its name in the southeastern corner of the Karwendel Alps. Its pyramid-shaped summit makes it a good observation peak north of the Erl Saddle and the Solsteinhaus mountain hut.

Schafreuter or Schafreiter is a mountain at the border of Bavaria, Germany and Tirol, Austria in the Karwendel range.

The Kuhljochspitze is a mountain, 2,297 m (AA) high, in the Erlspitze Group in the Karwendel Alps in Austria.

The Brunstkopf is a mountain immediately north of Zirl in the Karwendel Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is 1,719 metres high.

The Große Solstein is a mountain, 2,541 m (AA) high, on the western corner of the Nordkette range in the Karwendel mountains near Zirl in the Austrian state of Tyrol. Its summit may be ascended on various mountain tour routes either from the Solsteinhaus or from the New Magdeburg Hut. These routes are described as not difficult but require stamina. The crossing to the higher peak of the Kleiner Solstein (2,637 m (AA)), despite its name the highest in the Nordkette, is described in that article.

The Freiungspitzen (plural) are a group of 3 peaks in the Erlspitze Group in the Karwendel Alps on the territory of the Austrian municipality of Zirl. The highest summit, the west top, has a height of 2,332 m (AA), the middle top is 2,322 m (AA) and the east top is 2,302 m (AA).

The Kleiner Solstein is a mountain, 2,637 m (AA) high, in the Nordkette in the Karwendel Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. Despite its name ("Small Solstein") it towers above its western neighbour, the Großer Solstein ("Great Solstein") (2,541 m (AA)) by almost 100 m (330 ft) and is thus the highest summit in the Nordkette. The southern side of the Kleiner Solstein facing the Inn valley is characterised by schrofen and steep-sided cirques. To the north it plummets in a rock face up to 600 m (2,000 ft) high towards the valley of Großkristental, which runs from the Gleirsch valley in a southwesterly direction to the Erl Saddle.

The Schlossbach is a river of Tyrol, Austria, a left tributary of the Inn. The Schlossbach rises below the Reither Spitze in the municipality of Reith bei Seefeld and flows in a north to south direction. After around 1.5 km (0.93 mi) it collects the river Grieskarbach from the left. In its upper reaches is a gorge, the Schlossbachklamm (location: 47.297059°N 11.238778°E / 47.297059; 11.238778). This is traversed at a height of 60 metres (200 ft) by the Schlossbach Bridge which carries the track of the Mittenwald Railway. The railway bridge is a 66-metre-long (217 ft), trussed arch structure made of steel and a popular photograph subject. After emerging from the narrow gorge into the Inn valley, the Schlossbach flows through Zirl and empties into the Inn southwest of the village. Together with the Ehnbach further east, it has pushed the Inn southwards and piled up the alluvial fan on which Zirl has been built.

The Erlspitze Group (German: Erlspitzgruppe), also called the Seefeld Group, is the southwesternmost side range of the Austrian part of the Karwendel mountains in the Alps. It forms a horseshoe-shaped highland around the valley of Eppzirler Tal and is joined in the south to the Nordkette by the Erl Saddle (Erlsattel) near Solsteinhaus. It is bounded in the west by the Seefeld Basin, in the east by the valleys of the Gleirschtal and the Großes Kristental; its forested northern foothills reach as far as Scharnitz. Unlike the four main ranges of the Karwendel, the Erlspitze Group is made of Main Dolomite. Typical of this rock are bizarre weathering forms, like towers, pinnacles and sharply formed arêtes as well as rock arches and caves as a consequence of the rapid erosion of individual rock strata. Its valley bases are Hochzirl, Reith, Seefeld and Scharnitz, all of which are on the Innsbruck-Mittenwald section of the Mittenwald Railway. Two alpine club huts act as bases for tours in the area of the Erlspitze Group: in the west is the Nördlinger Hut and, in the south, is the Solsteinhaus. In the northern part of the Erlspitze Group are two huts open in summer: the Oberbrunnalm and, in the Eppzirler Tal, the Eppzirler Alm. The Hohe Warte is a mountain, 2,597 m (AA) in height, in the Karwendel range in Austria. It is located between the Kleiner Solstein to the west and the Hintere Brandjochspitze to the east, in the Nordkette in the state of Tyrol, north of the Innsbruck quarter of Kranebitten and has a prominence of at least 77 metres.

The Melach is a river of Tyrol, Austria, in the western part of the Innsbruck-Land District, a right tributary of the Inn. The Melach has a length of 23.4 km (14.5 mi). It is formed by the confluence of several smaller streams at the foot of the Lisenser Fernerkogel. It passes through the villages of Gries and Sellrain and discharges into the Inn between Unterperfuss and Kematen.

Unterperfuss is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 15 km west of Innsbruck and is one of the smallest villages of Tyrol. The area is restricted in the north by the Inn River and in the east by the Melach River. Unterperfuss has many facilities for horse-riding.
