Sawyer Woolen Mills

The Dover Religious Society of Friends Meetinghouse is a historic Quaker meeting house at 141 Central Avenue (New Hampshire Route 108) in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. Built in 1768 for a congregation established in the 17th century, it is the only surviving 18th-century Quaker meetinghouse in the state. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

McIntosh College, founded in 1896, was an educational institution located in Dover, New Hampshire. It granted Associate's degrees and Bachelor's degrees in a variety of vocational areas, including business management, criminal justice, culinary arts, graphic design and massage therapy. The college closed in 2009.

Dover Senior High School, known colloquially as Dover High School (DHS), or Dover High School and Career Technical Center (DHS and CTC), serves the city of Dover and the towns of Barrington and Nottingham, New Hampshire. It serves roughly 1,300 students with general education and vocational education programs as part of the Dover School District. Linked by a road to Dover Middle School, the campus borders the Bellamy River. An alternative school is located across the road from the school, whose students are typically allowed to attend classes at both schools.

The Woodman Institute Museum is located at 182 Central Avenue in Dover, New Hampshire, United States. It is a museum dedicated to history, science and the arts. It was created in 1915 with a bequest of $100,000 from philanthropist Annie Woodman to encourage her city's education in those three fields. The institute opened on July 26, 1916. Under the name of "Woodman Institute", the museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The First Parish Church is a historic church at 218 Central Avenue in Dover, New Hampshire. The church was designed and built by Captain James Davis in 1825, inspired by the Federal style designs of Charles Bulfinch, Asher Benjamin, and Alexander Parris. It is the fifth home to a parish that was first gathered in 1633 at Dover Point. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The congregation is affiliated with the United Church of Christ.

The Samuel Wyatt House is a historic house at 7 Church Street in Dover, New Hampshire. Built in 1835, it is one of the city's best-preserved examples of Greek Revival architecture, and was home to a prominent businessman and educator. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church is an historic Episcopal church located at 5 Hale Street in Dover, New Hampshire, in the United States. Founded in 1839, its building, designed by English architect Henry Vaughan, is an important example of his work, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The William Hale House is a historic house at 5 Hale Street in Dover, New Hampshire. Built in 1806, it is one of the few early houses in southeastern New Hampshire for which the architect is known with certainty. It is also the only definitively known work of that architect, Bradbury Johnson, who had a reputation for craftsmanship across the state's Seacoast Region. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It presently serves as the parish house for the adjacent St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Dover is a city in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 32,741 at the 2020 census, making it the largest city in the New Hampshire Seacoast region and the fifth largest municipality in the state. It is the county seat of Strafford County, and home to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, the Woodman Institute Museum, and the Children's Museum of New Hampshire.

The U.S. Post Office-Dover Main is a historic post office building at 133-137 Washington Street in the center of Dover, New Hampshire, United States. Built in 1911, and enlarged in the 1960s and 1970s, it is one of the region's only examples of Beaux Arts architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Public Market, also referred to as the Morrill Block, is a historic commercial building at 93-95 Washington Street in Dover, New Hampshire. Built about 1846, it is one of the few surviving Greek Revival commercial buildings in the city, best known for its long association with the local Morrill Furniture Company. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Cocheco Mills comprise a historic mill complex in the heart of Dover, New Hampshire. The mills occupy a bend in the Cochecho River that has been site of cotton textile manufacturing since at least 1823, when the Dover Manufacturing Company supplanted earlier sawmills and gristmills. The present mill buildings were built between the 1880s and the early 20th century, and were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
